Whether you use it or don’t, you can’t look down on the unprecedented growth of Tiktok. ByteDance, which is its parent company has introduced a new smartphone christened Smartisan Jianguo Pro 3. Yes, it’s released under Smartisan, a brand that has a symbiotic relation with Tiktok’s owner. Back in May this year, ByteDance had snagged a bunch of patents and tech talent from Smartisan. So, months later, here we are with a phone running Snapdragon 855+ chipset.
For those unaware, which might be far and few, Tiktok is a popular social media app, available on both Android and iOS for short lip-sync creation and sharing videos. The app has undergone public backlash and ban in India for its type of content. Anyhow, for the moment its launched in its home market only.

Smartisan Jianguo Pro 3 highlights
It sports a 6.39-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) AMOLED display with a notch seating the 20-megapixel front camera. This sensor employs pixel binning to out better-lit photos. On the back, you get a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor accompanied by a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and finally a 5-megapixel macro shooter (2cm distance).
Inside, it houses the Qualcomm crown jewel – Snapdragon 855+ chip. You get up to 12GB of RAM and two storage options viz. 128GB (UFS 2.1) and 256GB (UFS 3.0). It lives on a 4000mAh battery that can be topped by an 18W fast charger with support for QC 4+ and USB PD 3.0.
Rest, it’s a dual SIM device featuring Smartisan OS 7 skin based on an unidentified Android version.
