The EV unit of Tata Motors is gradually grasping the electric car market of India with record sales numbers over the last years. The company is gearing to take the advantage of this lead by expanding its EV portfolio in the country. As the next move, the homegrown maker will be bringing long-range versions of Tata Nexon EC and Tigor EV.

Tata electric mobility brand is reported to invest Rs 15,000 crore with an objective to manufacture 10 new electric cars by 2025. It packs a 30.2kWh under the hood that gives a range of 312Km on a single charge. While the upcoming Nexon EV MAX is anticipated to be equipped with a larger 40kWh battery to offer an improved range of 400km.

2. 2022 Tata Tigor EV

The next electric car in the pipeline is the 2022 Tata Tigor EV but the official details are still not public. For an improvement to the 2021 model, the upcoming Tigor EV is expected to come with rechristened chassis and a better suspension-braking system to go with the body weight. The electric car could pack a new battery pack for a 365km to 400km range.
