Satya Nadella confirms Lumia 950XL, Lumia 950 and Surface 4 arrival in India

Microsoft’s boss Satya Nadella is in India and has announced that Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL will dock on Indian shores this year in December 2015. However, Windows fans who are eagerly waiting for the arrival of Surface Pro 4 will have to wait a bit longer. Surface Pro 4 will make it to India early next year in January 2016, and will then become the first Surface device to launch in India.

At the ‘Future Unleashed 2015’ event, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella talked about immense interest Indians have shown in Surface devices and cited this as the reason for bringing Surface Pro 4 to India. The next generation 2-in-1 carries 12.3-inch 2160×1440 pixels display with 267PPI. Intel’s latest Skylake processors calmly lies inside.

Last month Microsoft launched Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL and new edition of Surface tablet at Windows 10 launch event in New York City. Both Lumia phones have a common QHD AMOLED ClearBlack Display with slight difference in size. Both the phones runs on latest version of Windows 10 OS. Similarly both the phone devices gets a 20MP autofocus primary snappers along with ZEISS optics, optical image stabilization and triple-LED RGB flash module.

The 950XL is powered by a by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and 3GB of RAM, while its twin brother gets a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC and 3GB of RAM.

No word on Surface Book’s arrival yet.
