Samsung To Start New Chip Production Unit In S.Korea

Being the number one smartphone brand in the global market, Samsung has never let the spotlight off of itself over the last few years. With the recent most craft work of excellence and elegance both packed in the perfect proportion which is known to us as Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung has just been soaring high in the sky. We all are well aware off the fact that Samsung is the creator and developer of the Exynos SoC which makes the heart of most of the smartphones manufactured by Samsung.

Last year Samsung has successfully completed 40 years in the chip manufacturing segment and this business seems to be of real profit for Samsung. Samsung has proved that it deserves to be the number one smartphone brand because it not only has the mettle to rise up on the list but also the consistency to maintain itself on the top. Being the top notch smartphone brand all over the world, Samsung has made an announcement to start a new chip production unit in the home country, South Korea by the year 2017.

The new facility will be located in Pyeongtaek (South korea) which will provide employment to around 150,000 people and will cost USD 14.4 billion. The new chip production premises will extend over an area of 2.89 million square meters.
