Samsung launches Galaxy S20 FE 2022 Edition in its Home country: Report

Tech giant Samsung has launched a new model of the Galaxy S20 FE smartphone in its home country, South Korea without any fanfare. The model is being called Galaxy S20FE 2022 Edition and is identical to the original Galaxy S20 FE 5G except the AKG headset is removed from the box and the price dropped by KRW 200,000.

The final price is KRW 700,000 and the model can be recognized by its model number SM-G781NK22. It comes in Cloud White, Cloud Lavender, and Cloud Navy colors.

The company is offering a free AKG headset to those who buy the smartphone before the end of April which means it is just a different way to offer the original Galaxy S20 FE 5G smartphone, but with a discount.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 2022 Edition Specs

It sports a 6.5-inch S-AMOLED display that gives an FHD+ resolution with an Infinity-O punch-hole display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 865 chipset and is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It packs a 4500mAh battery under the hood, but the fast charging capability is still not clear. There is no information about the device running Android 11 or 12 OS.

The Galaxy S20 FE 2022 has an IP68 rated chassis and in-screen fingerprint scanner for protection. At the back is a triple camera setup with a 12MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and 8MP telephoto camera. At the front is a 32MP selfie lens.

There has been no official announcement from Samsung till now. It remains to be seen whether the smartphone would be launched in other countries as well.
