Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with S Pen to Launch in India Soon

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is heading towards India as the South Korean giant starts teasing on its social platforms. The trimmed-down version of Galaxy Tab S6 (review) will retail on Amazon India.

Samsung was expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in April but due to COVID-19 crisis the government decided to impose lockdown in the country which forced brands to postpone new product launches. Now unlock 1.0 is underway, Samsung India’s started teasing the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite on Twitter as coming soon to the country. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is already launched in select market globally.

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite: Features

The Tab S6 Lite is a mid-tier tablet offering 10.4-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels. Samsung ships it with the Exynos 9611 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Just like the Tab S6, the trimmed down version of the tablet comes with S-pen stylus. As for optics, there’s an 8MP at the back and a 5MP sensor front camera. The Tab also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio and two AKG-powered speakers that also support Dolby Atmos.

As for power, the Tab S6 Lite has a 7,000mAh inbuilt battery similar to the much powerful Tab S6. Software-wise the Tab S6 Lite will be expected to run on the OneUI 2.0 which is based on Android 10.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite: expected price

The Tab S6 Lite is already available in China where it’s 4GB RAM + 64GB storage WiFi-only variant has been priced at CNY 2,799 version which translates to about Rs 30,000. The Tab S6 Lite 128GB + LTE support variant retail price in China is CNY 3,399 which is about Rs 36,000. One can expect Samsung to price the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite similarly for the Indian market. Let’s all wait for offical announcement.
