Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 with Samsung Dex and S Pen launched in India: Price and Specifications

Samsung India has announced its new flagship tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 for the Indian market. This device had already made its debut in the Global market earlier this year. Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is a 2-in-1 Tablet designed especially for both professional and personal use. This tablet comes equipped with features such as Samsung DeX and a Samsung Pen for productivity-oriented users.

Speaking at the launch, Aditya Babbar, General Manager, Mobile Business, Samsung India, said that:

Paired with Samsung Dex and S Pen, Galaxy Tab S4 is designed for those who need something portable like a tablet yet capable like a PC. With the launch of new Galaxy Tab S4, we want to offer our consumers the ultimate combination of great productivity and immersive entertainment for their super tasking needs,”

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Features

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has a large 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 16:10 aspect ratio and 287 PPI. The Tab S4 includes 4 speakers tuned by AKG and Dolby Atmos technology. It runs on the Snapdragon 835 Octa-core chipset and supports LTE. This tablet includes a RAM of 4GB and comes with an internal memory of 64GB which can be expanded till 400GB with a microSD card. The Tab S4 runs on Android Oreo 8.1.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has a USB 3.1 Type-C port for connectivity which can be used to connect to a bigger monitor using an HDMI adapter. Galaxy Tab S4 features a 13MP – (f/1.9 aperture)autofocus sensor on the back and an 8MP(f/1.9 aperture) shooter on the front for video calling and selfies. This device supports Samsung DeX which optimizes the user experience for work situations. You can use this feature to work in a standalone mode which allows you to have a PC-like interface even when not connected to a monitor or keyboard.

The other dual mode, makes multitasking easier by allowing you to connect your device to a larger display monitor. This dual mode allows you to work on work on various apps in full-screen view, even if the apps do not support free form. This makes your user experience much similar to the desktop computer, just that this device is much lighter and easier to carry.

This Samsung tablet is powered by a massive 7,300 mAh battery which, according to company claims, will provide up to 16 hours of video playback time. This device also integrates Samsung Knox, Samsung’s defense-grade mobile security platform that ensures that critical information of the user is tightly protected. Samsung’s S Pen comes out of the box with this device to help users easily take notes or make drawings.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Price and Availability

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has been launched at a price of Rs. 57,900 and it is going to be available from October 18. It can be purchased from Samsung’s online store or select offline retail stores. It is also going to be listed on Amazon India from October 20. HDFC users can avail an introductory offer of Rs.5000 cashback while purchasing this device.
