As expected, Samsung has launched its Galaxy S Lite Luxury phone in China today. The handset was earlier rumored to as Galaxy S8 Lite and that’s because it’s quite similar to the Galaxy S8 in terms of design and the hardware used. You can see S Lite Luxury as Galaxy S8 variant with a Qualcomm chipset.
Samsung Galaxy S Lite Luxury Features
The most prominent highlight of the Galaxy S Lite Luxury is the use of mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC instead of Samsung’s own Exynos chip. The CPU is assisted with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
There is a 16MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and an 8MP selfie camera up front. The handset houses a 3000mAh battery and runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based software.
The Galaxy S Lite Luxury has the same 5.8-inch size Infinity display (18.5:9) as the Galaxy S8 or S9, but the display resolution has been trimmed to Full HD+.
Other features include Face recognition, an iris scanner, Samsung Pay, 4G LTE, NFC, dual-band WiFi, and GPS. Samsung will bundle AKG tuned earbuds in the box.
The Galaxy S Lite Luxury will be available in Burgundy Red and Midnight Black color options.
Samsung Galaxy S Lite Luxury Price and Availability
The Galaxy S Lite Luxury will be available only in China from JD.com. It will cost 3999 Yuan or roughly 42,999 INR, but will be available for a pre-order price of 3699 Yuan or roughly Rs. 39,500. Pre-order window closes on June 1.
