Currently basking in the glory of its most recent flagships, the S8 family, Samsung has quietly launched another smartphone called the Galaxy J3 Prime exclusively in the US market for now.
The device in question is a variant of this year’s version of the Galaxy J3, which is yet to be out by the company. Apart from minor upgrades, this year’s J3 would also have a few tweaks on the design front, something that is more of a custom rather than anything else.
This is also the same design which is being associated with the J7 Prime is also most probably what all J-series phones in 2017 will look like.

Coming back to the J3 Prime, it is an entry-level smartphone that comes running on Android Nougat OS out of the box and sports a 5-inch HD display replete with 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution.
Right now, there’s still speculation regarding the make of the processor that has been put to use with the phone, but it is surely one that has a quartet of cores and clocks in a maximum frequency of 1.3GHz. Furthermore, the processor’s functioning is supported by a 1.5GB RAM.
The inbuilt storage provisions made by Samsung in the Galaxy J3 Prime amount to 16GB, which can be elongated further upon the usage of external sources. The optics the phone comes equipped with include a 5MP camera on the back (with LED flash) and a 2MP one up front for selfies.

The phone is also 4G-enabled and has a 2,600mAh battery thrown to support all of this and keep the phone alive.
Currently, the handset is available for purchase in the US through T-Mobile for a summed up ($6 down payment + $0.60 a month till 2 years) price of US$ 150 (around Rs. 9,600) for postpaid users, while it has been priced the same for the prepaid users, save for an instant discount of $75.
For those wishing to buy the phone, but live outside the US periphery, there’s no word out yet as to when they will be able to buy it and, for that matter, how much it be priced at.
