While we are inching close to the Galaxy Unpacked event, a fresh leak reveals more specs details of the oncoming Samsung Galaxy Flip. The phone has been spotted in the Geekbench benchmark repository. The listing fills in more specs details that weren’t known up until now.
As per the leaked image, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip (code-named SM-F700N) will be driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC clocked at 1.78GHz. The appeared model has 8gigs of RAM. And yea, it will be running on Android 10 based software, probably One UI tweaked for the unique hardware design.
The device has scored 745 points in the single-core test and 2,719 in the multi-core performance.
Just a few days back, a leaked video gave us a look at its folding mechanism.

However, from its wild appearance, we couldn’t make out whether it has the rumored ultra-thin glass (UTG) layer developed by Samsung.
Contrary to beliefs, the Galaxy Z Flip is not apparently the successor to first-gen Galaxy Fold. But, a recent discovery by Dutch tech site Galaxy Club, a new device with the ‘winner2’ code name is under work. Psst, ‘winner’ was the code handle for the OG Fold.
This means we might witness two folding designs from the Samsung stable this year. The Z Flip is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S20 series on February 11.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Price and specs leak ahead of the launch

Samsung recently teased its Galaxy Unpacked event to be held on February 11. Needless to say, the so-called Galaxy S20 series would be launched in this event. But, that’s not all! We might also get to see the spiritual successor to Galaxy Fold. The upcoming foldable is said to be christened as Galaxy Z Flip. So, Galaxy Fold 2 moniker is apparently out of the race. And, if you have come across the name Galaxy Bloom, umm, it’s supposed to be the Z Flip’s code name.
Samsung Galaxy Fold was the first of its kind phone which paved the way to the foldable mania. Albeit it had stumbling steps at the beginning, the brand did manage to launch the phone.
The new design cue was presented at the Samsung Developer Conference 2019 event back in October. Then, the device finally appeared in the wild, leaving us curious about the specs. Recently, we have got multiple sources revealing the purported pricing and availability details as well.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Price and Specs
January 2020
Galaxy Z Flip will allegedly ship with a 6.7inch Dynamic AMOLED Display, 12MP Main Camera, 10MP Front Camera, 256GB Storage, One UI 2.1, 3300mAH or 3500mAH Battery with 15W charging support. It would clad Black and Purple paints.
According to the latest reports, the price of the Galaxy Z Flip will be offered at a lower price than the recently introduced Motorola Razr. One source suggests the asking price to be somewhere between $ 860 (~ 62,000 rupees) and $ 1,295 (~ 92,000 rupees).
More confirmations on Galaxy Z Flip: 6.7inch Dynamic AMOLED Displya, 12MP Main Camera (not 108MP, obviously). 10MP Front Camera and 256GB Storage as told earlier. One UI 2.1, 3300mAH or 3500mAH Battery (some confusion regarding that). Black and Purple colours. https://t.co/U4GA46Qj1r

The latest one, however, claims a pricier ticket.
Just head from a new source:
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip will likely launch on February 14th. It retails at $1400. It’s possible it is an AT&T exclusive again, but this time it might be a timed exclusive. It will also be available unlocked.— Max Weinbach (@MaxWinebach) January 27, 2020
According to this source, the Galaxy Z Flip could launch on February 14 at $1400 (~ Rs. 99,884).
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 allegedly spotted in the wild
December 19, 2019, 3:34 PM
A well-known Samsung leakster Ice Universe has tweeted a few hands-on images of a phone, which is called – “Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Fold phone.” He referred to Chinese social media (@ 王 奔 宏).
Looks familiar? Well, yeah they flaunt a clamshell design like the flip phones of the yesteryears. Also Motorola Razr, cough cough.

This image majorly gives away the phone’s identity thanks to One UI software. This would adopt a more Unified User Experience to the new design language.
Apparently, this screen’s coined ‘Compact Square” and measures about 6.7-inches. It is engulfed by thicc bezels. Up top, there is an Infinity-O indentation.
In the bottom image, you will see a USB-C port and the speaker grill.
This new hinge mechanism makes the device more pocketable. Plus, the flip form factor is lauded due to the obvious nostalgia element.

Back at the SDC19, Sally Hyesoon Jeong, VP, and Head of Framework R&D Group, Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics said, “This brand-new form factor that we’re now exploring will not only easily fit in your pocket, but it also changes the way you use your phone.”
Finally, we have a closed view which is rectangular in shape. It has a glossy surface. At the bottom, towards the lower right end, we see a dual-camera island. Next to it, there is a small Always-On screen exhibiting the time, date and battery percentage. Not sure what the red dot indicates. But if I guess, it could mean no notifications. Look closer and you’ll note the volume rocker flanked to the right.
Finally, this is the ‘opened-up’ view. It clearly has a tall aspect ratio, possibly 21:9 akin to the Razr.
Now, that’s all a lot of images showcasing the purported Galaxy Fold 2 from different perspectives. Anyway, in light of these, the rumored Galaxy Fold sequel doesn’t seem far fetched. As such, we could look forward to more foldable phones in the coming year. Even Huawei Mate Xs is announced to make debut in MWC 2020. Let’s wait and watch as the new year unfolds.
