South Korean electronics company Samsung launched their latest mid-range smartphone in the country, called the Galaxy C9 Pro, a couple of months after it was introduced in China. The phone will be available for pre-order in India starting 27th January and would be officially put on sale in the latter half of February.

By the looks of it, the latest offering from Samsung is pretty well-stocked as far as the hardware of the phone is concerned. Featuring a 6-inch Super AMOLED display, the dual-SIM Galaxy C9 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 653 processor coupled with 6 gigs of RAM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based TouchWiz UI.

The phone sports an all-metal design and packs an adequate 4000mAH battery which supports fast charging. An in-built storage space of 64GB comes along with the C9 Pro which can be further extended via a microSD card.

Samsung has gone with 16MP cameras both on the front as well as the back, with both featuring f/1.9 aperture. The optics are reminiscent of the OnePlus 3T which featured a similar camera setup, albeit with a bit lesser aperture.

As mentioned, the Galaxy C9 Pro would soon be out for pre-order and as part of an apparent marketing scheme, the company is also offering a one-time screen replacement offer for the first year for those who pre-book the phone.

The C9 Pro is priced in India at Rs. 36,900 and will be available for buying from all retail channels in the second half of the next month. What impact it has on the company’s credibility would depend upon the phone’s reception once it officially comes out.
