Samsung Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event to be held on March 17; Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 could debut

Samsung’s next ‘Unpacked’ event is globally set to be held on March 17 at 8 PM IST. The Korean company is calling it ‘Galaxy Awesome Unpacked’ and is expected to unveil its midrange A-series smartphones — Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72. Although not officially revealed, this is what the rumor mills have been suggesting for quite some time now.

Earlier in the first Unpacked event of 2021 held in mid-January, the Korean company had launched the Samsung Galaxy S21 series (S21 | S21 Ultra), Galaxy Buds Pro, and Galaxy SmartTag. Meanwhile, here’s what we know so far about the two upcoming A-lineup devices.

Samsung Galaxy A72 and Galaxy A52: Expected Specs

We have earlier reported the leaked specifications of Samsung’s Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 that surfaced online. The upcoming A-series phones are expected to follow the trend set by their predecessors – Galaxy A51 (review) and Galaxy A71 (review). Both the mid-range phones have been the bestsellers from Samsung last year.

The rumored highlights of Galaxy A52 include Snapdragon 750G SoC for 5G,  Snapdragon 720G for 4G model, 6.52-inch sAMOLED display, 90Hz refresh rate, 64MP quadruple camera, and a 4500mAh battery. On the other hand, Galaxy A72 is said to include the same chipsets, 6.7-inch sAMOLED panel, 90Hz refresh rate, 64MP + 12MP + 8MP + 5MP camera, and a 5000mAh battery.

We are a week away from the scheduled event and until any official confirmation, take these as speculations. In any case, we will share more info on the Galaxy A-series lineup as we get them.
