Samsung Galaxy is the long-rumored scion in the A series. It was in news at the time when Galaxy A80 launched alongside Galaxy A70 (review). Now, reports claim that there was never a Galaxy A90. Instead, it is tipped to incarnate as Galaxy R. Its not just the name, interesting spec details such as support for 5G and 45W fast charging also surface.

Samsung Galaxy R rumored specs
Popular leakster OnLeaks tweeted that the Galaxy A90 would launch under the Galaxy R series. Allegedly, two devices are underway with huge displays and triple cameras. He foretells one of them to sport a unique camera feature. Further, he shares that at least one of them could be 5G-compatible also.

The 5G support is corroborated by another source, IceUniverse, who also claims that this particular phone will feature 45W ultra-fast charging. Going with the rumors, we expect this one to be a midrange 5G phone from the Galaxy. This is a welcome move by Samsung which could propel the 5G dissemination even in the mid-tier.
For now, the details are sparse and we expect more to emerge as the days go by.
