December 13, 2019, 1:25 PM

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 phones in an event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. True to the leaks and rumors, they come with a slight visual makeup. The fascia now flaunts a punch-hole camera or as Samsung likes to call it ” Infinity O display. At the back, there is a quad camera setup. Inside, you have Android 10 out of the box. Let’s look over their spec sheet to see whether these are one-up above the precursors.

Even inside, the specs remain unaltered for the most part, save for Android 10 based One UI on top of a superior CPU node. Although veiled, this is expected to be a dual 2.2 GHz + Hexa 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 730 SoC.

The phone clads Samsung’s Glasstic material with Prism Crush Black, Silver, Blue, and Pink color coating.

Coming to this comparison, the differences have gotten slimmer as you can see from the above table. Samsung Galaxy A51 outfits in an Infinity-O display and at the back, you get a rectangle camera stack. Within it, the sensors are arranged in L-shape. The new member is a 5-megapixel macro unit. Even the wide-angle shooter is a bigger 12-megapixel sensor.

Summing up, this seems like a minor refresh of the existing A-series for the new year.
