Samsung Galaxy A51 With Quad rear cameras, in-display sensor launched in India: Price, Specifications

Samsung Galaxy A51 is the first A-series phone of 2020 in India. The South Korean smartphone maker has put in an Infinity-O Display and a quad rear camera setup on the Galaxy A51 that will take on phones like Realme X2, Redmi K20, and Vivo V17 which have done well in the segment.

This isn’t the first time we are hearing of the Samsung Galaxy A51. Last month Samsung launched the Galaxy 51 (review) alongside Galaxy A71 in Vietnam. The Galaxy A50 and A50s both did well for Samsung in 2019, with the A51 Samsung is hoping for a positive start for 2020.

Samsung Galaxy A51 India price, launch offers

The Galaxy A51 price for the Indian market is Rs 23,999. The phone will be available for purchase starting from January 31 across all leading retail stores including Samsung Opera House, Samsung e-shop and online platforms. The Galaxy A51 is offered in black, white and blue ‘Prism Crush’ colours. Samsung has also announced Galaxy A51 in 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option but price and availability will be announced at a later stage.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Features

The Galaxy A51 boasts of a 6.5-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with an Infinity-O punch-in hole for a selfie camera. Samsung once again trusts its in-house Exynos 9611 chipset to all the heavy lifting under-the-hood. 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM is the only memory and storage option available as of now. The phone also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Samsung’s Galaxy A51 is betting big on photography. It comes with a quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 5-megapixel macro lens, 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, Samsung now opts for a 32-megapixel front camera.

The Galaxy A51 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. Some other prominent features of Galaxy A51 include an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock and Samsung’s newly announced four ‘Make for India’ features. These new features are visual cards in SMS inbox, Multilingual typing,  ‘Finder’ smarter search tool and a ‘Smart Crop’ for screenshots.
