Samsung Galaxy A50 and A30 Officially Announced: Specs, Features and Availability

Samsung Mobiles, after numerous leaks and rumors, has unveiled its new A-series phones – the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A30. Out of these two, the former is more premium and first Samsung budget phone to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Both these Galaxy A-series phone gets to boast of an Infinity U AMOLED screen and secondary ultra-wide rear camera sensor.

Samsung Galaxy A50 – What’s under the hood?

While the Galaxy A50 facia has a 6.4-inch FHD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display, the phone’s internals specs also make an interesting read. The Galaxy A50 enthralls on Samsung’s new Series 7 SoC-  Exynos 9610 which based on 10nm fabrication process and said to flagship grade graphics to the mid-range segment. The octa-core chipset is assisted by 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB of ROM.

As for optics, the Galaxy A50 comes with a vertically aligned setup that includes a 25-megapixel primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. It also features a 25MP sensor on the front for selfies. The Samsung Galaxy A50 is offered in four color options – Black, White, Blue, and Coral.

What about the Samsung Galaxy A30 Features?

Well, it is a more affordable A series offering by Samsung. Like the A50, it also comes with same 6.4-inch Super FHD+ AMOLED Infinity-U display and 3D GLasstic exterior design. The A30 packs octa-core Exynos 7885 SoC where dual Cortex A73 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, and hexa-core Cortex A-53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz.

The Galaxy A30 to come in a combination 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. In the camera department, the Galaxy A30 features a dual rear camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel (f/1.7) + a 5-megapixel (f/2.2) secondary sensor (ultra-wide-angle lens). For selfies, there’s a 16-megapixel camera on the front.

Just like the Galaxy A50, it is also armed with a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support. Both the Galaxy A-series phones support a microSD card up to 512GB. The A30 comes with a physical fingerprint scanner placed at the rear panel. Both phones support Samsung Pay, Bixby Home, and Bixby Reminder features.

The Galaxy A30 will miss the last option that looks anywhere between Pink and Orange, depending on lighting and personal perception.

Samsung Galaxy A50 and A30 Price and availability

Samsung is yet to announce the Galaxy A50 and A30 pricing for the Indian market. We expect Samsung to reveal it close to India launch. We will update this post once, the company officially reveal their availability and price details.
