Samsung will take the game of the full vision display a step further for. As the world awaits Galaxy S9 launch, the firm side by side filed a patent for an interesting phone with all-display front and no room for visible bezels. The patent shows that all the distractions including selfie camera, fingerprint sensor, light sensor, proximity sensor and earpiece have been shifted below the display.

A Netherlands based website Lets Go Digital has published details of the patent, along with a PDF of the file. The patent alleges the upcoming Samsung phone with an iPhone X-like fascia minus the top notch. The display is coupled with modern specs and features that have not been implemented up till now.

Samsung Full-screen display Phone Features

The leaked render of the phone showed that the display will have an in display optical fingerprint sensor. In this, the fingerprint sensor is placed under the display and the user can unlock its phone by just tapping on the screen. The in-display sensor, which doubles up as a home button, is seen placed alongside the on-screen navigational sensor.

To achieve a 100 percent screen-to-body aspect ratio, it is said that Samsung will embed all the sensors, earpiece and front-camera of the phone under the display. These are expected to work simultaneously with the screen and activate when needed.

Moreover, the patent also revealed a pressure sensitive touch on Samsung’s display, just like the present-day Apple iPhones. As shown in images, when you press the home button it will activate the microphone, and if the pressure applied is more than that your list of applications pops up.

The news should be taken with a pinch of salt as patents don’t always evolve into real-world products. But there are still good chances that we get to see a foldable display phone from Samsung this year.
