The registration part involves going to Jio’s website, clicking on the ‘Keep Me Posted’ option (displayed as soon as the site opens). But before you hit that Keep Me Posted button you will have to submit few details such as name, E-mail, pincode and contact details of the user(s).

The company intends to start the beta-testing of the phone from August 15, while its sale will begin on September 24 in both the online as well as the offline (Reliance Retail and Jio stores) segments of the market.

An anonymous source has let it known that the device will be made a third party company, while Reliance Retail will be looking after its marketing. Those who register their interest for the phone will get updates about its booking, availability et al.

The JioPhone, evidently, has generated quite a buzz ever since it was first unveiled before the world, and comes bundled with Jio’s various entertainment apps. Also, for those interested in knowing how much it will cost, the price is a mere Rs. 1,500, which is also refundable (valid for three years).
