Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has given an advanced new year gift to all Jio users. As rumored, Jio users will be able to enjoy Welcome Offer benefits post-December 31. Jio has announced a Happy New Offer in which is valid until March 31, 2017. This new offer will go live on December 4, 2016.

What Is This Jio Happy New Year Offer?

It is basically an extension of the existing Welcome Offer under a new name. All new and existing customers will be able to enjoy the benefits under this new offer.

What are the benefits of Happy New Year Offer?

In this new scheme of things, instead of prevailing 4GB data users will only get 1GB unrestricted speed data. Post that the speeds will be throttled at 128Kbps till midnight. Apart from that, Jio users will be able to enjoy unlimited access to Jio’s entire app bouquet which includes JioPlay, JioOnDemand, JioBeats, JioXpressNews, JioSecurity, JioDrive, JioMags and JioMoney.

Will Jio customer be charged for Calling and SMSes in this Happy New Year offer?

No, just like the Jio welcome offer, calling and messaging will be absolutely free.

Yes, new users can enjoy the benefits this new year offer from December 4th onwards.

Can I port my existing number to Reliance Jio?

Yes, now Jio fully supports mobile number portability so new customers can enjoy Jio on their existing number.

Can I book my Jio SIM card from my home?

Now in leading cities, Jio is offering home delivery service where a new Jio SIM will be delivered to your doorstep. By December 31, this service will cover 100 major towns in the country.

How soon my newly delivered SIM card will get activated?

The SIM can be activated through eKYC within 5-minutes if you manage to submit required documents.

No, you will be automatically migrated from existing Welcome Offer to Happy New Year Offer on Jan 1, 2017.

Is there any way to enjoy unrestricted speeds post 1GB/day limit?

Yes, you can recharge with Rs. 51 for additional 1GB data without any speed restrictions. Else, you can recharge with Rs. 301 for 6 GB valid for 28 days.
