Update: Lu Weibing confirms that the name of the device won’t be Redmi X.

The video hints at special variants of Redmi 7, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro. That’s not all, at the end of the video, we get a glimpse of the pop-up camera on a new phone. Could this be the long-rumored Snapdragon 855-wielding Redmi flagship?

The New Redmi phone: Redmi X?

From the teaser, we know the device would be exhibiting a notch-free full-screen display, thanks to the pop-up camera for housing the front camera. If past rumors and leaks are considered, this could be the same device bearing the Snapdragon 855 crown jewel chipset.

The short clip fuses Endgame trailer with the Redmi’s current and upcoming phone(s). The theme of the video resonates with power and speed. Redmi X is the name looming in the rumor town for the oncoming device.

This would be coupled with a secondary 8MP wide lens and a 13MP depth sensor. As for the pop-up resident, it could be a Coming to optics, alleged Redmi X pop-up sensor will feature a 32-megapixel shooter.

The aforementioned specs exist in the ‘maybe might be’ territory for now. So, we would recommend to take them with a grain of salt until the company concretes with official details. As far as the special renditions of the Redmi Note 7 are concerned, like you, we too are eager to get our hands on one. Lu Weibing, Xiaomi’s general manager who has been on a roll teasing the device has assured sufficient stock of the device. Ample availability of a Redmi phone would be in itself a big deal for the fans.
