Redmi Pad makes debut in India with Helio G99 SoC

After launching the Xiaomi Pad 5 in the Indian market a few months ago, the brand has now dropped the Redmi Pad in India. The latest table by Redmi offers the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, which was launched recently. The device comes with a 90Hz refresh rate along with an 8MP HD front camera. As for the design, it has thick bezels and offers an ergonomic design. Apart from that, the tablet has a unibody metal design with magnesium and aluminum alloys.

As for the pricing, the 3GB RAM variant of the smartphone with 64GB internal storage is available for Rs 14,999. The 4GB RAM variant with 128GB internal storage is priced at Rs 17,999. On the other hand, the high-end variant of the device with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage can be purchased for Rs 19,999. Under the early bird offer, you can get the base variant at Rs 2,000 instant discount and the other two variants at Rs 3,000 instant discount.

Redmi Pad specifications

The Redmi Pad features a 10.61-inch display coupled with 2K resolution and a 90HZ refresh rate. It also has Widevine L1 and TUV Rheinland certifications. Users will get free access to YouTube Premium for two months with the latest Xiaomi device. It has a quad speaker set up at the front with Dolby Atmos support for high-quality audio output. It works on the MediaTek Helio G99 processor along with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. The internal storage of the device is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.

In terms of optics, the device comes with an 8MP front snapper with a 108-degree field of view complemented with a new Focus Frame feature. The feature helps adjust the frame as soon as more people join in for a photograph. The tablet also rocks an 8MP sensor at the back, along with an in-built scanner. The device operates on the MIUI 13 for pad based on the Android 12 operating system. The company has said that it will offer three years of security updates and two years of software updates.
