Redmi Note 9 Pro, Note 9 Pro Max with Snapdragon 720G launched in India

Citing the Covid-19 pandemic, like every other brand, Xiaomi also confined its latest Redmi Note 9 series to online. Thus this happens to be the brand’s biggest ever online launch event. The star of the show is Note 9 Pro Max. Yea, a new member of the Note series with a lengthy appendage.

This time around, there is no standard Note 9, but the Note 9 Pro is in tow.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max launched in India

The phone breathes a new life to the design with Aura Balance and a Dot Display. As for the specs, the face is 6.67-inches in size, which delivers a 20:9 aspect ratio. Redmi has upped the haptic feedback, which is touted to be capable of matching 150 actions.

That in-display hole is home to a 32MP selfie shooter.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max launched in India

On the back, you get a 64MP quad system comprising – well a Samsung Isocell GW1 primary sensor, an 8MP 119-degree FOV ultra-wide snapper, a 5MP macro module and finally a 2MP depth unit.

The camera app house features like Night mode, Pro Colour mode, Raw mode, portrait mode, etc.

The device is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on front and back including the camera hump. There are things like a 3.5mm jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C port, p2i coating, and IR. On the Pro Max, you also have India’s own navigation system – NavIC.

The inside bears an 8nm architecture based Snapdragon 720G silicon coupled with a max 8gigs of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 onboard storage (expandable up to 512GB with a dedicated SD card slot). On the fuel front, the phone drinks off a 5020mAh battery which supports a 33W fast charger (available out of the box).

You can grab the Note 9 Pro Max in Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black colors.

This device is more similar than different from its Max sibling. Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with the same Snapdragon 720G SoC, NavIC and 5,020 mAh battery.

The variation creeps in the memory configuration and camera vertical – the Note 9 Pro ships with up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and a 48MP (Samsung GM2 primary sensor) Quad camera assembly at the back and a 16MP selfie clicker.
