Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 8 Pro today in India. It ships with a 64MP main rear camera, MediaTek Helio G90T, and many other features up its sleeve. Its direct rival is the Realme XT (review), which is also in the race for the first 64MP medal. We are pretty sure that you’re interested in knowing the better of the two.
To spice up things, we have added the Vivo Z1X (review) also into the mix. The reason is clear as water. These mid-range phones share similar design idiosyncrasies and spec elements. However, there are some differences, and that’s what we are about to highlight. All that said, let’s get into the spec comparison between the three phones.

Redmi Note 8 Pro vs Realme XT vs Vivo Z1X: Design and Display
Out of the three, the Redmi Note 8 Pro has a slightly larger display. But, it sticks to an LCD panel while the rest flaunt an AMOLED screen. All the phones sport Gorilla Glass 5, while Z1X employs Schott Xensation 3D protection. Vivo claims that this offers 8.15% better scratch resistance than Gorilla Glass 5.
All of them come in beautiful colors that have equally quirky names. Note 8 Pro and Realme XT come with a glass back. While glass looks premium, it is more prone to scratches and breaks. If that concerns you, you may go with Vivo Z1X that comes in a plastic casing.
You get an under-display fingerprint scanner on Realme XT and Vivo Z1X, while the Redmi Note 8 Pro relies on a rear capacitive reader. We won’t blame this move as the capacitive is fairly more responsive. But, since it’s at the back, you have to lift the phone (if it’s facing you) to unlock. Yeah, that’s something you have to live with. Or else, you can use facial recognition, which is present on all the phones

Redmi Note 8 Pro vs Realme XT vs Vivo Z1X: Performance
Redmi made a surprising team-up with MediaTek and the Note 8 Pro comes with a 12nm based Helio G90T chipset. As unusual it might sound, Redmi is confident of the new partnership and the phones’ performance. On the other hand, Realme XT and Vivo Z1 ship with Snapdragon 712 SoC that’s made on a 10nm architecture which is considered more power-efficient than the 12nm.
We are yet to get our hands on the Redmi phone. As such the real-world performance out of Note 8 Pro’s G90T SoC is yet to be tested. Note 8 Pro comes with the latest MIUI 11 out of the box. That said, the software experience on all three is undoubtedly feature-rich with minor quirks here and there. Much of the interaction with the UI can be tweaked using a third-party launcher as well.
Multiple memory configurations on all the three should pretty much satiate your requirement. However, if you want a microSD card, the Z1X lacks one, while you get dedicated expandable storage on the other two. That’s something to be noted.

The headlining factor of Redmi Note 8 Pro and Realme XT is the 64MP primary camera in their rear quad camera panel. The third one, viz. Vivo Z1X has a triple sensor setup, of which the leading camera is a 48MP one.
The photography experience on each of these phones is aided by software and AI-based enhancements such as night mode, portrait mode, etc.
Since the market has swiftly passed to a new trend, 48MP shooter on the Vivo Z1x feel a tad dated. The competition has a more versatile package to offer. Precisely, they include a dedicated macro lens for extreme close up shots. Flipping to the front, the Redmi phone wields a 20MP snapper, Realme XT has a 16MP camera and Vivo boasts a 32MP shooter.

Last but not least, all these performance and experience should last long, right? Nobody wants to carry around a phone that dies on them quickly. And even when that happens, the charging tech should be swift to top up the phone.
Going by numbers, 4500mAh within Note 8 Pro and Z1X lead the way, closely followed by Realme XT. And, when it comes to the charger, yet again Vivo’s 22.5mAH takes precedence. This is closely followed by Realme’s 20W VOOC 3.0 and the 18W charger on the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

These phones are all use and throw I am seeing in past 5 years not fit for indian customers and they all comes with an exhorbitant price. My friend has accumulated phones worth 5 lacs and when his family members came to know about this they were shocked. The market craze of these useless use and throw phones which are very very priced for an Indian consumer ranging from normal phone of 15000/- to 40000/- can be spotted in normal household people and they young generation are made vulnerable to buy these use and throw mobiles which come at a whopping price of 20000/- and above and thrashing the indian consumer unknowingly. The young generation are throwing their whole salary in buy new new phones forgetting about their savings for old age. These phones does not last more than 2 to 5 years rarely more than 5 years with branded ones else I have some or the other problem arises and street smart technicians have mushroomed all over the country and showing their smartness damages the phone to the extent of non repairable thusby forcing the younger aged boys and girls to buy a new device. Most have turned desperate psychos to buy a new phone every six months and selling their old phones. Its a massive black marketing. In actual the cost of these use and throw phones are not more than 3000-5000 rupees but with a whooping profit margin from dealer to distributor and importer churns the price to exorbitant prices. Everyone knows this thing including me but the desperation to seek a new phone with advanced features is so high that we all are just wasting our hard earned money in useless gadget that has no durability. In my house each and every electrical and electronic item be it fridge, T.V. Cooler, Washing Machine, Home theatre etc are all running well past 20 years and above. And I find this whole mobile phone Industry filled with mafias in desperation to build castles overnight. Its a huge international mafia the who’s who wanting to loot people. The whole attitude of servitude is lost past 10 years back and new generation of muddle heads are mushrooming known as brainless assholes not thinking about the consequences. Certainly the consequences are devastating in nature of collecting mobile phones every six months. This desperation is certainly going to continue. I don’t write any article in favor, i always write in against of the nuisance creators so one might not find my articles interesting but then i wrote earlier the so called brainless assholes have risen so much they are not at all ready to listen, forget about reading them, and if they read it they find it uninteresting. But I wrote for those who are less in number and will be able to help themselves in coming out of this massive mind wreathing thing and live life happily.
