Redmi Note 12 series makes a debut in China: Check pricing, specs, and more

Redmi Note 12 series has finally made its debut in the Chinese market. The series consists of four devices – Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition, Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. In the Explorer Edition, Redmi has made sure that the users get some of the best features like 210W super-fast charging and a 200MP primary shooter. To tackle all the heating issues, the device features a three-dimensional cooling system to dissipate heating while running heavy games or multitasking.

Apart from that, the Redmi Note 12 Pro lineup ships with the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor. All four smartphones from the series come with an OLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate, MIUI 13, and a lot more to mention. As for the pricing, the Redmi Note 12 base variant is available in the Chinese market at a starting price of CNY 1199, which converts to Rs 13,600. The Pro variant can be purchased at a starting price of CNY 1699, which converts to Rs 19,380. The initial price of the Redi Note 12 Pro Plus is CNY 2099, which converts to Rs 23,900. The Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition, being the most expensive one from the series, is available at a starting price of Rs CNY 2399, which converts to 27,200.

Redmi Note 12 5G specifications

Starting off with the vanilla variant, Redmi Note 12 5G comes with a 6.67-inch Samsung GOLED FHD+ display complemented with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone works on the first-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 processor. At the back, it rocks a dual rear camera setup, including a 48Mp primary shooter and a 2MP depth shooter. On the front, the device gets an 8MP sensor for the sake of selfies and video calls. The smartphone is powered by a 5000mAh battery along with 33W fast charging support.

Redmi Note 12 Pro lineup specifications

Both the Pro variants feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate ad 240Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphones are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor and Mali-G68 graphics processing unit (GPU). They operate on the MIUI 13 based on the Android 12 operating system. The Redmi Note 12 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX766 snapper, 8MP ultra wide-angle snapper, and a 2MP macro snapper.

The device flaunts a 16MP front sensor for the sake of selfies and video calls. On the other hand, the Pro Plus variant comes with a triple rear camera system, including a 200MP Samsung HPX primary shooter, an 8MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP macro shooter. It also has a 16MP front camera for capturing selfies and attending video calls. Both the devices are quite similar in terms of battery as they ship with a 5000mAh battery. The Pro variant supports 67W fast charging, and the Pro Plus variant supports 120W fast charging support.

Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition specifications

The Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition has a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display paired with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone offers 2400×1800 pixels resolution and 240HZ touch sampling rate. It also works on the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor. The device is based on the Android 12 OS topped with MIUI 13. The camera specifications of the device are identical to the Pro Plus variant from the series. For security purposes, it gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The handset draws power from a 4300mAh battery along with 210W fast charging support. As claimed by the company, the smartphone can get completely charged in just 9 minutes which is insane.
