Redmi is prepping up to bring a new K-series smartphone, Redmi K50i 5G, into the Indian market. Expectations are that the device will be a mid-ranger with decent specifications and features. In a recent report by MySmartPrice, it has been revealed the smartphone will have two RAM variants. One of the will have 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage.

Rumours have it that the device will be priced somewhere around Rs 24,000 to Rs 28,000. To be more specific here, the Remi K50i 5G could reach the Indian shores at a starting price of Rs 26,999. On the other hand, the top model of the smartphone will be available in a price range of Rs 29,000 to Rs 33,000, possibly for Rs 31,999.

It could have three colour variants at the time of India launch – Quick Silver, Phantom Blue, and Stealth Black. It will be available for sale via the official website of Mi, Amazon India, etc. The tentative launch date of the device is July 20 and it might go on sale starting from July 22.

The Redmi K50i 5G could ship with a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display complemented with a 144Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will run on a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

If the leaks are true then the smartphone will be competing with devices like OnePlus 10R and Realme GT Neo 3. Both of them run on the same processor. In that case, both Realme and OnePlus are going to have a tough time as the Redmi offering will run on the same processor and will be available for purchase at comparatively lower prices.
