Redmi K20 series is official with a high-end processor, AMOLED display, a unique gradient design, 48MP camera, and new fingerprint technology. The lineup features three devices- Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20 and an exclusive Redmi Avengers Special Edition. The showstopper of the event i.e. Redmi K20 Pro is lauded as a ‘second flagship killer. The event also unfurled a new Redmi laptop and a cabin baggage suitcase as well.
Redmi K20 Pro Features
Redmi K20 Pro comes in Carbon Black, Glacier Blue, and Flame Red colors with 3D gradient pattern on a glass and metal body. They would reflect tones of purple, orange based on various shifting lighting conditions. The phone weighs around 191 grams and has a curved back.
Upfront, you get a 6.39-inch full-screen full HD+ AMOLED display with ultra-thin bezels and a 91 percent screen to body ratio. Redmi K20 Pro supports HDR content and brightness up to 600 nits. Redmi throws a 7th generation in-display fingerprint scanner as well which would be quicker to unlock with better accuracy rates.
Redmi K20 Pro has a 20MP front camera residing within a motorized pop-up module. The company claims this module could pop up in 0.8 seconds. This would apparently get a software-based wide-angle mode.
The rear houses a vertical camera lineup which includes three cameras, with one of them placed separately within a ring atop. This rear trio includes a 48MP sensor (f/1.75) paired with a 13MP (f/2.5, 124.8-degree field of view.) and finally an 8MP (f/2.4) aperture. The latter two are ultra-wide and telephoto cameras, respectively. The company features 960 FPS slow-mo video recording support as well.

The Pro variant is engined by Snapdragon 855 chipset aided by Adreno 640 GPU for graphics. Xiaomi brags K20 Pro’s Antutu score of 388,803. For heat dissipation, the phone is equipped with 8 layer liquid cooling with a double-sided three-dimensional cooling structure. It utilizes a top-level graphite supplier for the materials.
From a gamer’s perspective, the all-new Game Turbo 2.0 feature could be enticing. It comes with optimizations for gaming, headphone/sound quality while gaming, optimization for WiFi/ mobile network while gaming, along with enhancements to touch mode while gaming. Xiaomi claims better viewing with DC dimming during gameplay in darker environments.

Coming to memory/storage variants, the Redmi K20 Pro ships with 6GB RAM + 64GB, 6GB RAM + 128GB, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage options.
Redmi K20 vs the Redmi K20 Pro: What’s the difference?
Redmi K20 is helmed by Snapdragon 730 processor with AI engine optimizations. The RAM+storage options reduce to two- 6GB+64/128GB. It comes with WiFi 6 standard support. It has a slower 18W fast charging support. The Pro variant uses a Sony IMX586 sensor for its primary 48Mp camera while this one bears a Sony IMX582 sensor. Rest of the phone shares the same specs and features as the Pro model.
The Other Redmi device
Xiaomi also unveiled an Avengers Special edition of Redmi K20 Pro. This sports a limited edition gift box with the Avengers 4 metal theme card and a limited mobile phone case.
Redmi has unveiled a new laptop with the moniker- Redmibook 14. It is steered by the 8th generation Intel core i7 processor accompanied by NVDIA GeForce MX250 for graphics. It features two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The company also presented the Redmi 7A on stage, and a Redmi-branded new cabin baggage suitcase as well.
Redmi K20 Pro and K20 Pricing and Availability
Redmi K20 Pro starts at Yuan 2499 going up to Yuan 2999. The Redmi K20 starts at Yuan 1999. The pre-orders for the Redmi phones would begin at 6 o’clock tonight, (China time). The Redmi K20 Pro will be on sale starting at 10:00 am on June 1. This would be followed by Redmi K20 on June 6 along with Redmi 7A at 10:00 am.
RedmiBook 14 is priced at Yuan 4999 for the 8GB RAM and 512GB variant. Its 256GB variant with the Core i5 processor will carry a price tag of Yuan 3999. And finally, the bigger 512GB model with the Core i5 processor would be out for a price of Yuan 4299.
The all-new cabin baggage suitcase would cost you Yuan 199.
