Redmi 7 Pro With Waterdrop Notch and 2900mAh Battery Spotted On TENAA

Xiaomi’s highly successful Redmi series is up for renewal once again and the company has sent their upcoming smartphones for TENAA certification. These new devices donning the codenames M1901F7E, M1901F7T, M19017FC have surfaced on the Chinese certification site and going by the looks and what little we know about the specifications, these new handsets are most likely to be Redmi 7, Redmi 7A and Redmi 7 Pro.

Redmi 7 Pro Features

We do not have much information about Redmi 7 and Redmi 7A yet but the specifications of Redmi 7 Pro are more or less completely known at this point. The phone will have a 5.84-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 2280 x 1080. The phone will be powered by a 2.3GHz Octa-core processor and will be available in three RAM variants: 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB. The phone has been stocked up with storage options of either 32GB, 64GB or 128GB. There is also an option to expand the storage up to 256GB with an external memory card.

Coming to the photography section, the phone will feature a dual camera on the rear consisting of a 12MP primary camera and on the front we have an 8MP selfie shooter. This phone is also the first Redmi phone to sport a waterdrop notch design. As usual, the fingerprint sensor has been placed at the back.

One of the most disappointing factors is that it will feature a scanty 2900 mAh battery as opposed to the 4000 mAh battery found on Redmi 6 Pro. The phone will come with Android Oreo 8.1 based MIUI 10 out of the box, but it may get a prompt Android Pie update as Xiaomi has already started rolling out Pie updates to its earlier releases.

The listing also mentions that the upcoming Redmi 7 Pro will be made available in at least 10 color options including Black, White, Blue, Red, Yellow, Pink, Green, Purple, Pink, Gold, Silver, Gray – which is a first for Xiaomi.
