Xiaomi has today unveiled three affordable smartphones for its Indian customers, at an event held in New Delhi. Xiaomi Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 Pro, and Redmi 6 were earlier launched in China, and their Indian variants will soon hit the market shelves.
Out of the three variants, the Redmi 6 is the only one with Dual 4G VoLTE support.
While Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A have predecessors- Redmi 5 and Redmi 5A respectively, Xiaomi has launched Redmi 6 Pro keeping the power users in mind.

Redmi 6 Highlights

Redmi 6 sports a 5.45-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and 2.5D curved glass screen. It has no notch, and a brushed metallic finish similar to that on Redmi 5. The phone succeeds Redmi 5 specification wise. A 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) 12nm processor with 650MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU assistance powers the smartphone. The processor comes with improved performance and battery management features over Redmi 5.
Android 8.1 Oreo with Redmi’s MIUI 9.6 skin layer imparts user interface to this smartphone. This will be upgraded to MIUI 10 soon. A 3000mAh battery with full day battery life, and improved fuel backup with respect to call time, music playback and video playback perspective powers the device.
In terms of camera, the phone houses a rear dual camera setup of 12MP+5MP, and offers Electronic image stabilization for video recording. The superior of the two cameras has 1.25μm pixel size. Both the cameras are coupled with a single LED Flash. For the Front camera, a 5MP selfie snapper is present, with AI portrait and AI beautify modes.

Redmi 6 Pro sports the largest screen among the three, with 5.45-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ display and 18:9 aspect ratio, along with 2.5D curved glass screen. It has a notch, that can be hidden by toggle settings. This is the first Redmi phone to feature a notch based display, and attempts to bring notch design to budget segment. The phone features a premium aluminium finish, and has no particular predecessor.
A decent Snapdragon 625 chipset powers the smartphone, which is rare on an affordable mobile.
