Realme Watch 3 Price & Availability

The Realme Watch 3 is priced at Rs. 3499 but will be available for an introductory price of Rs. 2999 from today (2nd August) via Realme.com, Flipkart.com and offline stores. It comes in black and grey colours.

Realme Watch 3 Review: Design

The Realme Watch 3 comes with a square dial that is found in many other smartwatches. The watch comes in 2 colours- Black and Grey. I received the Grey variant and it looked slick and stylish. Realme Watch 3 has a 22mm lightweight interchangeable silicone strap that is comfortable on the skin allowing you to wear the watch for long durations without any hassle. The build quality of the strap as well as the dial is solid and the watch weighs 40 grams which is pretty much on the lighter side. It has a curved 1.8-inch 2.5D display with huge bezels all around.

The watch has a single functional button on the right side that helps you go back and forth, open menus and pause workouts. It has a premium-looking metallic finish which makes it stands out from the rest of the watches in this segment. There is a microphone below it and on the side is the speaker grill. The overall frame of the watch is glossy in finish and the watch is quite prone to fingerprints and smudges.

The back contains heart rate and other sensors that are indicated by red and green LEDs when the sensors are in use. The Realme Watch 3 is IP68 rated for protection against water so one can wear it even while jogging in rain. The dimensions of the watch are 45x37x11.5mm. Overall, the watch has a minimal but good-looking design factor.

Realme Watch 3 Review: Display

The Realme Watch 3 has a large 1.8-inch 207 PPI LCD display with 2.5D scratch-resistant glass. It can be turned on by lifting your hand up and then turn off within a few seconds so that it saves battery. The touch screen is responsive and my scrolling experience has been smooth thus far. As far as legibility is concerned, the Watch 3 offers a maximum brightness of 500 nits. I am quite content with the brightness levels on offer here. You can adjust the brightness between levels 20% to 100% and screen time out can be increased up to 15 seconds. Swiping from the top shows quick settings menu that includes brightness, DND, Flashlight, power saver etc.

The 67.5% screen-to-body ratio might seem better than the previous ones by the brand but Pixel resolution and brightness have been downgraded on this one. Notifications can be viewed by swiping from the bottom but one can’t reply to them. Swiping right shows health features and pressing the button on the side helps you navigate menus. The viewing angles and colours on the screen are vibrant but an ambient light sensor is missing on this affordable smartwatch.

Realme Watch 3 Review: Performance & Health feature

One of the most prominent features of the Realme Watch 3 is built-in Bluetooth calling feature. The watch has a speaker as well as a microphone for calling purposes and there is a call log and a dial pad as well. You can add important contacts to the log via the app.

My calling experience has been decent when experienced indoors as the voice is picked up well by the microphone and the speaker output is good as well. Although the watch comes with Environment Noise Cancellation, still the calling experience is not very good outdoors. Noisy traffic and people’s voices don’t allow you to listen to the voice of the person at the other end.

The Realme Watch 3 is loaded with health and fitness features. The watch has 110+ sports modes including outdoor running, yoga, cycling, golf, boxing and more. It is capable to monitor your heartbeat 24×7 and can track one’s SpO2 and stress levels as well. Heart tracking is decent but sleep tracking and step counter is not very reliable. It gives reminders to drink water, take rest, breathe, relax and more. The watch comes with GPS support and will help you remain on the correct route during outdoor activities.

The watch can be used to control music, camera, and more but that has to be enabled from the app. There are features like Find My Phone, Weather Details, Alarm, Stop Watch, Menstrual Cycle Tracking and more as well.

Realme Watch 3 Review: App support & watch faces

The Realme Watch 3 runs a custom-built OS and is compatible with Android and iOS through the Realme Link App. The app shows your activity data and notifications and lets your customize the look of your watch. One can change the watch face via the app from the existing 100+ watch faces. The watch itself has 4 options for changing watch faces. The UI on the watch is smooth and easy to operate. There are no lags or delays. The watch connects with the app seamlessly and stores all your health and fitness data. The smartwatch doesn’t allow you to reply to messages and that is the only slight niggle I felt.

Realme Watch 3 Review: Battery

The Realme Watch 3 packs a 340mAh battery and promises up to 7 days of battery life with 24-hour heart rate tracking. I used it for around a week and the battery drained by around 10% every day with moderate usage. This included making calls, running for 20 minutes daily, listening to music and more. Battery life will depend on the kind of usage you have, but it does last long.

The watch comes with a magnetic charging dock that can be plugged into USB C port of a laptop or a power bank in low power mode. The watch takes around 2 hours to charge from 0 to 100%.

Review Verdict: Should you buy Realme Watch 3?

Expert Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

For the price of above 3k, Realme Watch 3 comes with a host of features like an elegant design, long battery life, smooth UI, plenty of sports modes, Bluetooth calling and more. Although the watch is prone to smudges and doesn’t give accurate steps or sleep readings, it does allow one to control the music player and camera. It is a smart buy for those who need an affordable smartwatch for under Rs. 4000.
