Realme Watch 3 Pro Price & Availability

The Realme Watch 3 Pro went on sale in India on September 9 via Flipkart and Realme websites. It is priced at Rs. 4499 and comes in Black and Grey colorways.

Realme Watch 3 Pro Review: Design & Fit

Realme Watch 3 Pro looks stylish and premium at first glance. The watch does borrow elements from its predecessor Watch 3 but manages to look good on hand as well as on one’s wrist. The Realme Watch 3 Pro comes in 2 colors- grey and black. I received the standard black color variant for review. The watch has a squarish dial that is seen in most smartwatches nowadays. The watch weighs about 40 grams and feels light on the wrist. Moreover, the 22mm silicone strap is skin-friendly, allowing you to wear the device without any discomfort for long durations.

The watch has a metal finish design that makes it look elegant. The eighth edge of the watch has a physical button that one can you to wake up the watch, go back, pause a workout, or open the menu. Since the watch has Bluetooth calling, there is a microphone placed above the physical button. The speaker is kept on the left edge while the rear of the watch has health sensors like SpO2 and heart rate sensors. There is also the magnetic charging pin along with the sensors.

The watch comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance which adds to the features of the Realme Watch 3 Pro. I did not have to worry about the watch getting wet when I was wearing it during the rain. An IP68 rating makes the watch apt to be used while indoor as well as outdoor workouts. However, the watch has no swimming workout mode, so avoid using it when you go for a swim.

Realme Watch 3 Pro Review: Display

The Realme Watch 3 Pro sports a 1.78-inch AMOLED display that gives sharp text, vibrant colors, and deeper blacks than other TFT panels. This makes black and dark-colored watch faces look even more attractive and the watch itself looks classier when the display is off. The watch comes with a variety of watch faces that can be used. We will talk more about them in the watch faces section. It is always on display and the feature can be enabled in both analog and digital, both styles.

The only issue with the always-on display is that the screen turns on even when it is placed on a flat surface when it should only turn on when worn on the wrist. This is the problem with the OS it runs, and we hope an update solves this in the future. The display gives 500 nits peak brightness, which is good enough for most conditions. The display is slightly curved from the edges and has thick bezels on all sides, which gives it a good overall look.

Realme Watch 3 Pro Review: Performance & Health features

The Realme Watch 3 Pro comes with various smart and health features. Firstly, talking about some smart features, the camera control on the Realme Watch 3 Pro was pretty cool. Using this feature, one can click a picture from your phone by tapping on the watch. Moreover, music can also be controlled via the watch. One of the most useful features is Bluetooth calling. The watch uses a built-in microphone and speaker to pick up calls directly from the watch. The watch has a microphone, speaker and also shows a call log. There is a dial pad as well, that shows contacts option which you can add from the app. There is AI ENC for calls, that cuts out noise in most conditions.

On receiving the call, you can speak via the phone’s earpiece too, even though you are connected to the watch. The only issue is that sometimes, the speaker is not the loudest. At times, especially in public, it gets difficult to understand. Otherwise, one can add up to 10 favorite contacts from the link app and Bluetooth calling works fine.

Realme Watch 3 Pro brings weather temperature updates, alarm setups, and event reminders as well. It packs a GPS inside which can track the wearer’s movement outside. Once the workout is finished, the watch shows your movement on the map in the link app. Although there was a difference of 8-10 steps every 50 steps, that can be ignored.

The health features include 24-hour heart rate monitoring and SpO2 sensors. The SpO2 sensor gave accurate results when cross-checked using a pulse oximeter, provided one has worn the watch properly on their wrist. For the heart rate sensor, the readings were close but can’t be called accurate. The same can be said for the sleep tracking feature which was a hit or miss at different times. Realme has added menstrual cycle tracking which comes in handy for women.

The tracking number of steps walked is very convenient with the watch. I have a step-counting app on my smartphone and when I checked the reading of the Watch 3 Pro, I found them to be almost the same. The watch comes with 110+ workout modes for those who are fitness freaks. You can add up to 15 modes at a time and the watch also has a workout recognition mode, that alerts you in case it detects any outdoor activity.

Realme Watch 3 Pro Review: App support & watch faces

The Realme Watch 3 Pro comes with the support of the Realme Link App. The watch is compatible with android as well as ios devices and the app helps customize and record data. The health data, workout records, battery status, and everything is visible on the app. The app can be used to change the watch faces, analyze sleep data and keep check of your health status. You can sync the watch with Google Fit as well.

Coming to the watch faces, the app has an option for 100+ watch faces to choose from. The watch faces include categories like abstract, mechanical, simple, classic, interesting, art, sports, dynamic, pointer, customizable, and system preset. The watch faces make your screen look attractive and help you make a statement.

Realme Watch 3 Pro Review: Battery

The Realme Watch 3 Pro packs a 345mAh battery that gives up to 10 days of battery life on a single full charge. With heavy usage, the battery lasted easily for 7 days but when the always-on display was turned off and the constant health tracking was disabled, the battery ran for 10 days without any issues. The usage included workout tracking, Bluetooth calling, a camera, music controls, and more. Magnetic charging can recharge the battery from 0 to 100% in around 1 hour and 35 minutes.

Review Verdict: Should you buy Realme Watch 3 Pro?

Expert Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

The Realme Watch 3 Pro is a step in the right direction as it turns out to be a good upgrade over its predecessor. The smartwatch has an elegant but simplistic design, an AMOLED display, a host of smart features, and a good battery life. It is IP68-rated and comes with 100+ watch faces and 110+ workout modes. if you need a wearable with a good display, GPS, and Bluetooth calling, that does not burn a hole in your pocket then the realme Watch 3 Pro is a perfect buy for you.
