Realme has managed to create an instant connect with youth especially in India and is now one of the top five smartphone brands in the country as per IDC. The key reasons for Realme success are the competitive specs that the brand offers at really disruptive prices.
However, one aspect that has been holding them back is the software – Color OS. It’s the same Android-based custom OS that Oppo offers in its phones. The Company’s CEO Madhav Seth has also publically acknowledged that the Color OS isn’t that well received and they are working to offer their users an experience closer to stock android.
Realme OS in works?
A well-placed source has told us that the Realme is working to replace Color OS with Oxygen OS like Custom OS in their phones. This will enable Realme users to have a close-to-stock Android experience with some necessary enhancement.
The Color OS 6.0 addresses many of the issues with the Oppo software and that’s what Realme will rely on till the company is ready to push the new software. This should happen in the latter half of September.
