Realme 5 will allegedly have the same chipset as the Xiaomi Mi A3

Realme 5 series is garnering a good deal of puff lately. We got the official teaser revealing the 5 Pro’s camera specificities as well as leaks tipping the processor and display details. This morning we have some scoops on the standard Realme 5. The regular model would possibly ship with the same Snapdragon 665 chipset as the Xiaomi Mi A3.

Nashville Chatter, an independent news agency has spotted the Realme RMX 1911 (probably a code name for the Realme 5) on Geekbench. By the way, a phone with the same model number also got certified on Thailand’s NBTC.

As per the Geekbench listing, the Realme 5 could come with an Octa-core “trinket” chipset clocked at 1.80GHz, coupled with 4GB of RAM and Android 9 pie on top.

A while back, the Xiaomi Mi CC9e also had visited Geekbench with the trinket motherboard. a proxy name which was later revealed to be Snapdragon 665 chipset. So, the Realme 5 is expected to come bearing the same processor.

Realme 5 series is set to launch on August 20, 2019, at 12.30pm in India. The event themed as “Leap to Quad Camera”. As a quick refresh, the Realme 5 Pro will pack a primary 48MP shooter alongside a 119-degree FoV ultrawide sensor, a portrait sensor, and finally a super macro snapper. It is likely to carry Snapdragon 710 chipset clocked at 2.3 GHz speed. Upfront, it might sport an AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
