Named after the Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan, which is home to over 80 tigers, the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition is the first ever India-exclusive by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). At its core, the Range Rover is similar to the long-wheelbase edition that already sells in the country. However, what makes it unique is its design and the fact that there will be 12 Ranthambore Edition SUVs in India.
What’s New With The Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition’s Design?
First, the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition comes with a bespoke deep black exterior with a unique red shimmering effect. Then, the exterior has Corinthian Bronze and Anthracite accents, reminiscent of a tiger’s stripes. Dominating the vehicle’s side profile are 23-inch forged dark gray alloy wheels with Corinthian Bronze inserts.
On the inside, buyers will get Caraway and Light Perlino Semi-Aniline Leather seats, tiger-stripe embroidery, custom scatter cushions, and noble chrome jewelry finishes. Then, there are light linear wenge veneers and white ceramic dials that add more sophistication and luxury to the interiors. Other luxury features include fully-reclinable seats, a powered club table, and a refrigerated compartment in the rear.
All the units feature the SV bespoke branded tread plates with embossed “Ranthambore Edition” and the unit designation (1 of 12) badging.
Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition Powertrain Details
The Range Rover SV Randthambore Edition is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 395 bhp of power and 550 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. If the powertrain details sound familiar, it is because the company provides the same options with the Range Rover Autobiography edition.
Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition: Price
The special-edition luxury SUV costs Rs. 4.98 crore (ex-showroom) in India. Further, Jaguar Land Rover has decided to make only 12 of these.
It is important to mention that the company has pledged a portion of the sales of the Ranthambore Edition SUV to the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India.
