iPhone 15 Series is incoming later this year. With that being said, a new line of rumors has arrived according to which, the iPhone 15 Pro series will get ProMotion and LTPO 120Hz panel with Always-On-Display (AOD). Although it is a no-brainer, the update states that these features will be exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro series only. It means neither iPhone 15 nor iPhone 15 Plus will get their hands on these features.

For the unversed, Apple’s ProMotion feature fluidly adapts the refresh rate of the display based on the content viewers. Apple uses low-power display backlighting that gives it control over the refresh rate right from 1Hz to 120Hz. The technology requires LTPO panels to work. Unfortunately, the standard (non-Pro) iPhone 15 devices won’t get either.

Additionally, the AOD features that keep the lock screen afloat with certain information are likely to remain exclusive to upcoming Pro models as well. It is something Apple did with iPhone 14 and 14 Pro series in 2022 while we saw the same trend with iPhone 13 and Pro series in 2021 as well.

As of now, it is reported that Apple will soon enter the mass production stage for its upcoming iPhone 15 series. We have seen countless reports about the iPhone 15 Series including the debut of Dynamic Island on the non-Pro variants as well as a new darker red color variant.

Apple just introduced a yellow-colored variant of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus. Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 is in the works with a display manufactured by BOE. It will be an OLED panel but made inexpensive when compared to OLED panels on the Pro variants.
