Here it is finally – the hotly-anticipated Poco X2! Today, Poco India launched its new phone after a long spell. As you may already know, the brand recently moved out of the Xiaomi aegis. So, this marks Poco’s roadie as an independent brand. So, let’s see what the second season brings forth.

On stage, C. Manmohan, General Manager, POCO India confirmed that Poco X2 is not a successor to Poco F1 (review). That makes this a new lineup under the Poco umbrella.

True to the speculations, the Poco X2 is none other than the Redmi K30 unveiled back in December, last year. The teasers and rumors thus had divulged a fair amount of details. So, without further ado, let’s have a look at its features, price and availability specifics.

Poco X2 Specifics

Redmi K30 launched in China

It’s something you would have already seen by now. Up front, there is a dual punch-hole display that measures 6.67-inch in size with full HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 120Hz refresh rate. The rear has a frosted AG glass layer. As for protection, both front and back come with Gorilla Glass 5.

The front houses a 20MP+2MP (depth sensor)l duo within that pill cutout. At the back, you have a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, paired with an 8MP 120-degree FoV ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP 2cm macro lens, and a 2MP depth-sensing unit. The camera software also packs features like Night mode, VLOG mode, RAW mode, 960FPS slow-motion mode, etc. The videography can max up to 4K@30fps.

The phone carries a Snapdragon 730G SoC together with Adreno 618 GPU, 6/8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 64/128/256GB storage, and 4500mAh battery. You get a 27W fast charger bundled within the box. On the hardware side of things, you also get Liquid Cooling technology for sustained performance without throttling woes. The software is MIUI 11 based on Android 10.

The feature sheet also lists a hybrid dual SIM tray, IR Blaster, VoWiFi support, P2i splash-proof resistance, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Hi-Res Audio.
