Panasonic Lumix GH5S with 4K Video Recording launched India; Price, Features

Panasonic Lumix GH5S recently made an appearance at the CES 2018 and now about a month later the Japanise company has launched it in India. The company heaped praises for the Lumix GH5S claiming it to be world’s first high-precision cinema 4K recording camera with excellent low light video capabilities. The GH5S comes with highest-ever image sensitivity (ISO ) in Lumix series cameras.

Panasonic Lumix GH5S features and specifications

The Lumix GH5S is a mirrorless camera which boasts a newly developed high-sensitivity 10.2-megapixel sensor. It is further complimented by Dual Native ISO technology and Venus Engine 10.

As per Panasonic, the GH5S has sensor sensitivity to 51,200 ISO which can be further extended up to 204,800.Another key highlight of the Lumix GH5S is the ability to shoot pictures or record videos in multiple aspect ratios like 4:3, 17:9, 16:9 and 3:2.

The Panasonic Lumix GH5S support video recording in Cinema 4K (4,096 x 2,160p) resolution at 60p frames per second which clearly give it an advantage over some of its peers. Panasonic has also pre-installed its HDR Hybrid Log Gamma and V-Log tool which generally it offers professional

In this new mirrorless camera, there is no cap on the length of full HD and 4K video recordings. Furthermore, it comes with Time Code In/Out for a an easy synchronization in multiple camera setups.

Talking about its photography capabilities, the Lumix GH5S shoots in14-bit RAW images and can capture 12fps in burst mode and 8fps with continuous autofocus. It comes with 225 focus points and include options like face-eye recognition, tracking AF, 1-area AF and pinpoint AF.

In other features, the Lumix GH5S flaunts two dials and a multi-directional joystick. The camera comes with dual SD card slot, HDMI Type-A terminal, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi and a USB-C Gen 1 port.

It comes with a 3.2-inch touch-screen OLED screen (1.62 million dots) and 100 percent field of view. The Panasonic Lumix GH5S features a rugged body which can last in freezing temperatures up to -10 degrees Celsius. The camera is splash and dustproof as well.

Panasonic Lumix GH5S Price and Availability

For the Indian market, the Panasonic Lumix GH5S is priced at Rs 1,84,990. It will be available in all Panasonic and other leading electronic stores across the country.
