Panasonic Lumix GH5 With 4K Support Launched In India

Japan-based electronics company Panasonic has expanded its camera portfolio in India with the launch of its latest flagship camera – the Lumix GH5. It is a successor of Lumix GH4 which is dear to especially videographers.

The GH5 is aimed at both photography enthusiasts and professionals in the field of photography, and is capable of recording 4K (60p and 50p) videos and also has provisions for 4:2:2 10-bit 4K video recording.

It has a dedicated 6K Photo Made that enables it to take out high quality (18MP, 8MP from 4K at 60p) images from the recorded video. The G5 also provides the users with the option to record full HD slow motion videos at a maximum if 180fps (7.5x slo-mo).

Apart from that, it has a 20.3MP Digital Live MOS sensor and a Venus engine that combine together to dish out some really good photographs.It utilizes DFD technology and has relatively increased focus areas (225) along with a face/eye recognition mechanism.

For storage, the G5 has a double SD memory card slot which is compatible with UHS-II, first-ever feat for a Lumix camera. It also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity to facilitate the to-and-fro of the data.

The camera comes encased in a magnesium alloy body and is splash, dust and even freeze-proof (up to -10 degrees).The all new Lumix GH5 is currently available across all Panasonic stores in the country for a sum of Rs. 1,43,000 (body only) and up for grabs with a 12-60mm F2.8-4.0 kit lens for Rs. 1,88,490.
