At an event in Delhi, Panasonic unveiled two affordable smartphones – Eluga Ray 500 and Eluga Ray 700. For Panasonic, the Eluga Ray 500 will target the affordable dual-camera smartphone segment in the Indian market, while the Eluga Ray 700 will appeal to consumers who are looking for beefy batteries.
Other highlights of the phone include a metal body design, front mounted fingerprint sensor, 2.5D glass on top, and onboard Panasonic’s Arbo AI voice assistant feature that we first saw in Panasonic’s Eluga Ray Max and the Eluga Ray X devices.

Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 Specification
Probing the matter further, the Eluga Ray 500 flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display on the front and a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6737 processor beneath the surface. To back the processor, it packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable to up to 128GB via a micro-SD card.
You will find a 13MP and 8MP wide-angle lens with f/2.0 aperture and f/2.4 aperture, respectively. The cameras are assisted by dual LED flash for low light photography. For selfies, we have a 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture.
The Eluga Ray 500 houses a 4000mAh battery and runs on the Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box. The connectivity options on the phone include Hybrid SIM setup, 4G VoLTE support, OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, audio jack, and Wi-Fi.

Panasonic Eluga Ray 700 Specifications
The other device Panasonic has launched plays big on battery. The Eluga Ray 700 houses a monstrous 5000mAh battery, capable of delivering long battery support to its users.
Up front, the Eluga Ray 700 boasts a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080p) IPS LCD display, surrounded by thick bezels, and navigational keys placed on the bottom bezel. Under the hood, the phone is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6753 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable to up to 128GB via SD card).
For photography, the Eluga Ray 700 sports a 13MP camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, it has a 13MP camera with LED flash and f/2.4 aperture.
The OS and connectivity options on the Eluga Ray 700 remains the same as the Eluga Ray 500.

Panasonic’s Eluga Ray 500 and Eluga Ray 700 will be available in India from September 20, exclusively at Flipkart, in Champagne Gold, Marine Blue, and Mocha Gold color option. The company has priced the both the products at an affordable rate – Rs 8,999 for Eluga Ray 500 and Rs 9,999 for Eluga Ray 700.
To celebrate the launch, Panasonic’s device will be on sale on the same day Big Billion Sale is commencing on Flipkart. So, there will be an extra 5 percent off on Axis Bank Credit Cards on the purchase of the phones.
