The Reno2 Z has a stunning design, is steered by a powerful chipset, offers the convenience of a long-lasting and fast-charging battery, and has a lot to look forward to for photography enthusiasts. With the device going on sale from September 06 across Amazon, Flipkart and Offline channels, do these highlights add up to a meaningful experience? Read on to know!

Photography champ

As stated above, the Reno2 Z flaunts four rear cameras. These include 48MP (IMX586+EIS) primary camera, 8MP wide-angle camera, 2MP sensor with a mono lens, and a 2MP sensor with a portrait lens. This versatile camera system is held together by capable AI-powered camera software.

The 48MP primary camera can capture stunning details and wide dynamic range while shooting outdoors. Reno2 Z instantly locks focus and captured images show natural Colors and pleasantly high contrast.

Even while shooting indoors, the camera performance is remarkable and images show minimal noise. Using the AI-powered Ultra Dark Mode, Reno2 Z can produce bright images even while shooting dark scenes where the ambient light is below 5 lux.

The 8MP wide-angle camera can take in a 119-degrees wide field of view while capturing images and videos, and proved excellent for shooting landscapes.

Users can also capture DSLR like portrait shots with blurred background, shoot portrait videos, or click HDR portraits on the phone.

The 48MP primary shooter is also electronically stabilized and can shoot ‘Ultra Steady Videos’ even when you aren’t using a tripod. The Reno2 Z also has a Smart Video Editor SOLOOP app that uses AI for one-touch video creation or for generating high-quality video clips from the videos stored in the phone’s album.

As for selfies, the elevating camera houses a 16MP sensor and is assisted by the new AI Beauty mode that can beautify up to 4 faces in a frame and has been optimized to work well for Indian customers. The selfies clicked on the Reno2 Z are well metered, have rich details and show accurate skin tones.

Looks fabulous, comfortable to wield

The first thing you’d notice about the Reno2 Z is its attractive design. In fact, even the box packaging exudes those premium vibes that you’d seldom find on phones irrespective of the price range.

The same attention to details extends to the phone design. An immersive Panoramic 6.53-inch AMOLED screen with sharp full HD+ resolution runs uninterrupted across the fascia. The bezels are extremely narrow resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of 91.6%, and the Reno2Z enjoys 5th Generation Corning® Gorilla® Glass.

Under the screen, OPPO places a third-generation hidden fingerprint 3.0 sensor that unlocks your phone 11.3% faster. The rising front camera is also used for Face Unlock and the adjustable color lights on both sides of the module flash during the process, adding a slick visual effect.

On the rear, the glass-finish is embellished by a multi-tone look with a subtle partial glow. Interestingly, the quad cameras are placed under the gorilla glass to avoid any unsightly bulge, and this truly makes the Reno2 Z stand out. The glass covering the camera is polished three times using 95mm nano-polishing to ensure it is flush with the cover.

To protect the camera lens when the handset is placed on a flat surface, OPPO Plants a ceramic O-Dot via gem-setting artistry that gently lifts the camera lens and also adds to the aesthetics. All rear cameras, branding, the artful O-dot, and the rising camera are positioned across the central vertical axis, relaying a greater sense of symmetry and order.

All said and done, the Reno2 Z is thoroughly premium and it’s available in three attractive color options – Sky White, and Luminous Black.

Super-fast, Super-fluid

All that beauty isn’t skin deep, though. On the inside, the Reno2 Z is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P90 octa-core chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

The chipset is powerful enough to handle heavy usage and high-end gaming. OPPO further empowers the performance hardware with optimizations like Hyber Boost 2.0, Frame Boost 2.0 and Touch Boost 2.0 that further refine the gaming experience. Thanks to these optimizations, frame rate stability is increased by 30% for gamers, while the possibility of lag drops 50% when playing PUBG.

OPPO has also partnered with game engine COCOS to improve gaming performance in supported games. You don’t have to take our word for it. The Reno2 Z gives five-star gaming performance certified by TUV Rheinland, the global leader in independent inspection services.

To further support gaming enthusiasts, there’s a massive 4000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging that can safely and swiftly top up the lost juice. Since the charging tech is placed in the charger, the phone doesn’t heat much and you can charge your phone while gaming without risking any performance throttling.

The Color OS 6.1 software running on the handset is exceptionally efficient and convenient to use. Some noteworthy features include new visual design, game space, Smart Assistant portal, and special emphasis on user security.

Premium and fulfilling experience

From the moment you lay your eyes on the Reno2 Z, you’d know that this isn’t a run of the mill Android device and will be able to admire OPPO’s craftsmanship. A closer inspection will only strengthen the positive first impression that the Reno2 Z casts.

The performance is powerful, the cameras are effortlessly amazing, and the big battery makes the usage extremely convenient. In case you are looking for an upgrade, the Reno2 Z is available across Amazon, Flipkart and offline stores for a starting price of Rs 29,990.

Users can also avail zero down payment EMI options on Bajaj Finserv and 5% cashback on HDFC Debit/Credit Cards EMI Transactions and Consumer Loans during sale period.
