OPPO Reno is official in India with 10x zoom camera, Sharkfin design, and Snapdragon 855 power

OPPO has finally disembarked its 2019 flagship Reno series in India today. The series brings with it exciting spec sheet including the likes of 10x zoom camera, a unique Sharkfin design, and promising internals.

Oppo Reno 10x Hybrid Optical Zoom Features

Starting with the cameras, at the back, we have a 48MP(f/1.7 aperture) primary rear Sony IMX586 sensor with LED flash and OIS paired with a 13MP 10x hybrid optical zoom (f/3.0 aperture) periscope telephoto lens also with OIS and an 8MP (f/2.2 aperture) 120-degree Ultra Wide Lens. The phone boasts 4K 60fps video recording with OIS support, audio zoom recording and 3D surround audio capturing.

OPPO has baked in a slew of features such as Ultra-night mode 2.0, Dazzle Color optimization mode, Artistic portrait mode and more.

The 16MP front camera resides within a side-lifting pop-up module. The pivot mechanism is called as Shark-Fin design. Upfront, we have a 6.6-inch panoramic Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution screen with 19:5:9 aspect ratio. This one is also shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The software is Android 9.0 based ColorOS 6.0.

Under the hood, this one bears the power of Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 chipset. The internals include 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage. The top model flaunts 8GB LPDDR4X RAM variant with 256GB (UFS 2.1) storage. The phone is kept alive by a 4065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

This model uses multiple heat dissipation methods, dedicated game assistant, Hyperboost 2.0, Game Shock Vibration feedback motor, etc aimed to augment the gaming experience with this device.

Oppo Reno 10x Zoom variant also features optical in-display fingerprint 2.0, USB Type-C audio, Hi-Res audio, Dolby Atmos, triple microphones, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, Dual-frequency (L1+L5) GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and NFC.

Oppo Reno Standard Edition Features

Oppo Reno standard edition is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. It ships with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage.

Oppo Reno packs a 3765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. This base variant also bears heat-conducting gel and graphite sheet to dissipate heat.

Upfront, it sports a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protected 6.4-inch panoramic AMOLED display that comes with a 2340 × 1080 Full HD+ pixel resolution and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It even has an embedded in-display fingerprint scanner.

A side-lifting pop-up atop houses a 16MP front camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and 79.3-degree wide angle lens. The rear camera department features a 48MP rear camera with LED flash, Sony IMX586 sensor (f/1.7 aperture) coupled with a 5MP secondary camera (f/2.4 aperture).

Other important features include a Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C.

The standard edition is available in four colors viz. Purple, Pink, Green, and Black, while the 10x zoom variant is out in Black and Green color only. Both of them Available from 7th June 2019.
