Oppo Pad likely to launch in India this June along with Reno8 Series

0

Looks like Oppo fans will have a lot to admire in the coming months. According to tipster Mukul Sharma, the Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is expected to launch its first tablet dubbed as Oppo Pad in India. It will be followed by Oppo Reno 8 series during the same timeframe making it a huge launch event to witness.

Oppo Pad Launch Date and Price in India

Thanks to tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings on Twitter), it is likely that Oppo Pad will arrive in India during the period of June to July. The tweet mentions a slightly narrow timeframe of June ending or July although there are no exact or even tentative dates available at the moment.

Perhaps, what amused us is the pricing. The Oppo Pad tablet is expected to fetch between INR 25,000 to INR 30,000. Again, this is yet to be confirmed by Oppo or any other reputable sources i.e. supply chain or other stakeholders. However, given the reputation that precedes Sharma, the pricing could land between the given bracket.

For context, the Oppo Pad was already launched in February in China starting at INR 2,299 (or INR 27,460) for its 6GB+128GB. The mid 6GB+256GB variant fetches a price tag of CNY 2,699 (or INR 32,200/-) while the high-end 8GB+256GB variant fetches CNY 2,999 (or INR 35,800/-). Note that the Indian prices mentioned here are converted from CNY at the time of writing this and may differ.

Oppo Pad Specifications

Oppo Pad in China arrived with an 11-inch LCD panel with 120Hz RR, HDR10 support, and a 2560×1600 pixels resolution. The device packs in a Snapdragon 870 SoC, up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage onboard. There’s an 8,360 mAh battery under the hood paired along with 33W fast charging tech and a stylus dubbed as Oppo Pencil stylus with a 13 hours battery life. You get a 13MP rear camera onboard.

Oppo Reno8 Series Launch and Specifications

According to the tipster, the Oppo Reno8 series will join the wagon too, launching sometime between the end of June and July. It is likely to arrive during the same time frame as that Oppo Pad.

The series is likely to have a few models as usual. The base Oppo Reno 8 is expected to pack in a 6.55-inch FHD+ 120Hz panel with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC and MariSilicon X chip. Note that it could get a MediaTek Dimensity SoC upper mid-range as well. The device is likely to pack in a 4,500mAh battery, 80W fast charging tech, and a 50MP triple rear camera among other specs.
