Oppo K13 5G review
oplus_3145728

Under the hood, the Oppo K13 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, featuring 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone also has a graphite sheet for heat dissipation and a DC cooling system that helps keep the device cool under stress.

The Oppo K13 5G scores 711,000 points on AnTuTu 10 and 986/2,873 points in the single/multi-core Geekbench 6 CPU performance test. These aren’t exceptional scores, but given the segment and price tag the device belongs to, they’re not worth ignoring either.

We’ve also run a couple of video games on the Oppo K13. While playing BGMI at Smooth + Extreme (60 fps) settings, we got an average frame rate of around 58.7 fps. On the other hand, we could run Genshin Impact at 42.4 fps. Moreover, the handset provides decent performance for everyday use and casual gaming.

MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate Infinix Note 50s 5G

Unlike the Oppo K13 5G, the Infinix Note 50s 5G features a Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chip with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The company claims an AnTuTu 10 score of 700K+ points, but we’ve often seen Dimensity 7300-powered phones max out at around 650K points on the benchmark.

The chipset’s performance also depends on the level of optimization. In the past, we’ve seen the CMF Phone (1) (review) offering 120 fps gameplay on BGMI, making it the only phone in the under Rs. 20,000 segment to do so.

From what it looks like, the Oppo K13 5G and the Infinix Note 50s 5G should offer similar day-to-day performance, with the former being slightly faster at loading apps, thanks to its UFS 3.1 storage.

Oppo K13 5G vs. Infinix Note 50s 5G+: Software

Out of the box, the Oppo K13 5G runs on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. The operating system offers split-screen, floating windows, live alerts, and a smart sidebar.

The budget handset also offers many GenAI features, including AI Unblur, AI 4K Upscaler, AI Reflection Remover, AI Eraser 2.0, and various writing tools such as AI Summary, AI Writer, and AI Reply. Last but not least, the device also supports Circle to Search.

For those wondering, the brand will offer two years of major Android updates and three years of security patches.

The Infinix Note 50s 5G runs the XOS 15 based on Android 15. It offers various customization options, along with features such as a Floating Window, Dynamic Bar, and a dedicated game mode. The brand also offers Infinix AI features, including wallpaper generation, text-to-image generation, and AI Note Conversion.

With the handset, the brand has promised to provide two years of operating system and three years of security patches.

Given that both phones have a similar camera setup, the 64MP primary camera on the Infinix Note 50s 5G should capture sharper images in full-resolution mode.

Oppo K13 5G vs. Infinix Note 50s 5G+: Battery Life

When it comes to battery life, the Oppo K13 5G really redeems itself. The handset, unlike any other model in the segment, sports a 7,000 mAh Si/C battery that supports 80W wired charging.

In our review of the smartphone, we mentioned that it offers up to 12 hours of screen time with moderate usage and around 8 to 9 hours with heavy usage.

The Infinix Note 50s 5G doesn’t do as well. It has a smaller 5,500 mAh battery that provides 45W wired charging and 10W reverse wired charging. What’s good is that the phone supports bypass charging.

The Infinix Note 50s 5G will be available via Flipkart from April 24, 2025.

While the Oppo K13 5G offers exceptional battery life, the Infinix Note 50s 5G boasts better hardware across various aspects. For instance, the phone has a slightly bigger and brighter curved AMOLED screen.

Complementing the screen are stereo speakers tuned by JBL. Then there’s the 64MP primary camera, which should capture sharp images. Further, the notification light at the back could also appeal to several users.

If you want a better screen and a higher-resolution camera, consider the Infinix Note 50s 5G. Its 256GB variant should be less expensive than the Oppo K13 5G.
