BBK electronics subsidiary Oppo might be gearing up to launch a new smartphone series on October 10. This new series is rumored to be Oppo K -series and will be targetting the mid-range market segment. The teaser image of the new phone has been spotted on Chinese micro blog site weibo. Speculations are rife that the first phone in this series will be named Oppo K1. Recently, the Oppo K1 was also spotted on TENNA certification site.
Oppo K1 Features
As per the TENNA listing, the first mid-range phone could sport an in display fingerprint sensor.
The phone is expected to be available in three variants with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. The Oppo K1 will feature a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED Display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset. It is expected to comprise of a 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the rear and a 25MP front facing camera which is similar to the one found on Vivo V11 Pro.
It houses a 3,500 mAh battery and might be available in three color options Red, Blue, and Silver.
