OPPO has introduced its much-awaited Find X2 series smartphones in India. OPPO’s Find series smartphones are always exciting because they set a benchmark for all uber premium flagships that follow through the year.

The Find X2 is one such premium smartphone that’s loaded with innovative technology and establishes OPPO’s firm resolve to deliver true flagship experience. Indeed, there is a lot to look forward to with the new flagship including a groundbreaking display, world’s fastest 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging, best in class performance hardware, and a gorgeous design. Priced only at INR 64,990 does the Find X2 live up to the hype? Well, If you want to talk details before you take the plunge, here’s everything that you need to know!

Flawless Audio Visual Experience

A fabulous display is essential to flagship experience since it’s the screen that we primarily interact with for almost everything we do on our phones. OPPO pulls all stops to ensure that the panel on the Find X2 is beyond perfect. The handset has a 6.7-inch 3K QHD + (1440×3168) curved OLED screen with 10-bit colors which OPPO calls the 120 Hz QHD+ Ultra Vision Screen.

This is an HDR10+ compliant panel, and with 10-bit color support it can reproduce a billion colors – around 64 times more than conventional 8-bit panels – resulting in an extremely wide dynamic range. The screen does enable a more wide recognition of colours during viewing.

The Find X2 display can produce 100% of the P3 wide color gamut with a staggering 0.4 JNCD accuracy.

The display can go up to 1200 Nits bright for HDR content and the software is smart enough to automatically adjust the brightness based on the ambient lighting conditions or based on the content playing on the screen. That means that the screen will adjust itself to your viewing preference.

The Find X2 has TUV Rheinland Eye Care certification that corroborates hard work OPPO has put into making the screen as comfortable on eyes as possible. The screen reflectivity is as low as 4.4% and E3 luminescent material used in its construction reduces blue light by 40%. OPPO’s DC scheme further eliminates flicker at low brightness. There is also a dedicated color temperature sensor that can automatically adjust the screen color to match the ambient light color temperature for more comfortable viewing.

The 120Hz refresh rate and the ultra-high sampling rate of 240Hz make this an excellent display for gamers. And consumers don’t have to worry about battery drain. That’s because OPPO implements intelligent adaptive refresh where the refresh rate adjusts between 60Hz and 120Hz based on the screen content and this significantly helps conserve battery.

All said and done, this is the most advanced screen OPPO has developed to date. No wonder then that the renowned display testing agency DisplayMate rates it with the best A+ display rating.

Find X2 also excels at uplifting regular content to be more suitable for the gorgeous screen. Motion clear video enhancement features can increase the frame rate of content to make it more appropriate for playback on a high-refresh-rate screen.

Then there’s O1 Ultra Vision Engine for the hardware-level conversion of SDR videos to HDR videos which helps uplift the colors and contrast of even dimly lit videos.

65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging technology

Find X2 has the world’s first commercialized 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 technology that’s also the world’s fastest flash-charge solution yet. The 4200mAh battery on the phone charges up to 45% in just 20 minutes and gets fully charged in just 38-minutes thanks to the fast charging support.

Worry not, the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 is secured by a 5-level protection mechanism and is completely safe. The charging system is also versatile. Which is to say that even if you are not carrying your box charger with you, The Find X2 also has excellent compatibility with other charging standards.

Powerful performance and system optimization

The reason why the Find X2 can handle all this complex processing with aplomb is that it employs the best-in-class core configuration. It’s driven by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB fast UFS 3.0 storage. Needless to say, it can handle heavy loads and the most demanding of games without breaking a sweat.

The chipset also integrates the X55 5G modem that supports both SA and NSA 5G architecture with global roaming capability. The Find X2 supports Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS) and also has a 360-degree surround antenna system in place that ensures clear signal reception regardless of the holding position.

Interestingly, the handset can download 2 apps simultaneously, one using 5G Wi-Fi and the other using 5G.

The user interface on the phone is Color OS 7.1. This is a lightweight UI that’s feature-rich and in line with global taste. Some highlights include smarter animations, natural sound effects, and an appealing all-day dark mode.

Superior Camera system

The Find X2 has a powerful and versatile triple camera system that comprises a 48MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide angle, and a 13MP zoom camera. These sensors are aided by a smart software with diverse shooting modes like Ultra Night Mode 3.0, Ultra Macro mode, and more.

The camera mechanism combines many innovations and subsystems that work seamlessly in tandem to ensure that you get perfect shots every single time without putting in any extra effort.

The primary camera is 48MP Sony IMX586 that combines feed from four adjacent pixels to form a large 1.6μm pixel, thus resulting in astonishing details and a wide dynamic range in captured images.

The 12MP Sony IMX708 sensor has been used as an ultra-wide-angle camera and manages to cover a 120-degree field of view without any noticeable distortion. The 13MP telephoto camera has an upright structure and supports 5X Hybrid zoom and up to 20X digital zoom.

There are several smart algorithms at play that help Find X2 grasp tricky scenarios and then reproduce them perfectly.

The 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor on the front takes care of selfies and captures every intricate detail of the human face. OPPO has perfected beautify algorithms over the years and the X2 pro can perfectly understand skin tones and then make apt enhancements. The selfie camera also benefits from ultra night mode and can intelligently correct edge distortions.

Gorgeous Design

True to tradition, the Find X2 sports an eye-catching design. The device comes in Ceramic and Glass build. The Ceramic one (with its true-tone black finish) weighs around 196g whilst the Glass variant (with an Ocean Blue gradient) clocks at 187g. Either way, you’ll be in a pickle to pick between the two stunning options. Speaking of picking, the devices should be easy to manoeuvre, thanks to a balanced weight distribution across the dimension (164.9 x 74.5 x 8 mm).

Now if you’re wondering about the fingerprint reader, it’s housed within the display. Like icing on the cake, you also get IP54 rating on the Find X2.

OPPO Find X2: The ultimate true flagship!

The Find X2 offers a groundbreaking flagship experience and sets new benchmarks for competition to follow. The primary highlight is of course its Astonishing display that has us completely bowled over.

It further offers the best-in-class hardware configurations, is equipped with 5G and many other cutting-edge connectivity options, has 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging support, a dependable software, and an amazing camera system.

All of this technology is housed in a breathtaking, elegant body. The bottom bezel is extremely small (just 2.9mm), the optimal 67.8-degree display curvature ensures almost edgeless experience, and the whole phone feels smooth and streamlined to touch. The snappy fingerprint reader is hidden below the screen and a powerful haptic feedback motor adds another dimension to the overall feel.

In India, the Find X2 will be accompanied by its Find X2 Pro, which has the same gorgeous 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED display and is powered by Snapdragon 865 octa-core chipset paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The 5G enabled handset has a 4260mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge support. The body is IP68 water (up to 1.5m deep) and dust resistance certified casing and this one has a more advanced camera system that includes a 48MP main camera, 48MP Ultra-wide angle, and 13MP periscope style telephoto camera that makes 60x digital zoom possible. Finally, the Find X2 offers Black (Ceramic) and Ocean (Glass) editions, with 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM, will be available for INR 64,990.

“Further if you want something even more luxurious, then you have the OPPO Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition. It has been designed taking cues from the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster.

You would love the striking gold accents and the Lamborghini logo at the back. OPPO has used hot-forging glass on top of four-layer carbon texture. This confers a unique look wherein light and shadows dance depending on the angle you hold.

Not just that, the package with its scissor door design, the bundled hand-stitched eco-friendly leather case and other inbox accessories ooze premium. All in all, you will be taken aback by the lush style elements present in every nook and cranny. This combined with its ultra-powerful specs, make OPPO Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition one of a kind.
