Oppo A5s with 4230mAh battery and Helio P35 launched in India

Oppo’s new entry-level low budget A5s has launched in India today. The phone sports a waterdrop notched display on the surface with Helio P35 processing power. Under the hood, the phone carries a whopping 4230mAh battery. Bizarrely enough, Oppo A5s would ship with Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS 5.2.1 software out of the box.

Oppo A5s Highlights

The main highlight of the phone would be the 4230mAh battery that is touted to deliver “exceptionally long-lasting battery life”. Rest, the phone runs on Helio P35 Soc alongside 2/4GB RAM. As far as storage is concerned, you could grab the device in 32GB and 64GB of onboard storage options, both of which include microSD card support for expansion (up to 256GB).

Oppo, for some reason ships the A5s with Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS 5.2.1 software out of the box. Keeping that aside, the phone would look decently trendy thanks to its 6.2-inch In-Cell display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and HD+ 720×1520 resolution.

This facade houses an 8MP selfie shooter (F/2.0) within a waterdrop cutout. Flipping to the back, a 13MP primary sensor (F/2.2) coupled with a 2MP secondary sensor takes care of your photography needs. As far as bells and whistles are concerned, with Oppo A5s, you could take advantage of Depth of Field effects that are paired with a Rolling Shutter Compensation to counter shaky output.

The software also has tricks up its sleeves such as Smart Bar, a productivity cum multi-tasking tool to let users quickly switch between apps, reply to text messages, and transfer files. You could also use multiple shortcut tools, including cutting and screen recording. Other important features include a fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB port.

Oppo A5s Pricing and Availability

Oppo A5s is priced at Rs. 9,990 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. The pricing of the 4GB edition is yet to be revealed. You could grab the phone in Black and Red color options currently and in May, they would be out in Green and Gold color options.

Oppo A5s will be available via Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, Snapdeal, and Tata CLiQ as well as offline stores.
