OnePlus Z has been in rumors for months now and all rumors have been pointing that this upcoming OnePlus mid-tier smartphone will be based on MediaTek Dimensity 1000 platform. However, the latest leak suggests the company will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 765SoC instead!

The latest tip on OnePluz Z has come from notable tipster @MaxJmb who recently revealed that the OnePlus Z will be unveiled in July 2020. He also posted a render of the phone suggesting a centrally-aligned punch-hole for the selfie camera.

As per Max J, the OnePlus Z aka Oneplus 8 Lite will be a 5G phone just like the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro (reviews).

The OnePlus Z allegedly sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with an OLED panel. It is expected to include a triple rear camera setup featuring a 48MP+16MP+ 2MP configuration. As for selfie enthusiasts, the OnePlus Z is tipped to feature a 16MP front camera fixed inside the punch-hole on the screen. A 4000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging is also expected to be part of the phone.

If you recall, OnePlus announced its new OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones last month. Both the 8-series smartphones rock Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, with high refresh-rate displays and support for HDR10+.

While the OnePlus 8 Pro has 120Hz 6.79 QHD+ AMOLED screen, its not-‘Pro’ sibling gets a slightly smaller 6.55-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. It houses a 48MP+16MP+2MP rear camera setup configuration, while at the front is a 16MP unit. The ‘Pro’ phone also includes four rear cameras in a 48MP+8MP+48MP+2MP setup.
