OnePlus TV 40Y1 will go on sale in India on June 01

OnePlus has launched a new TV titled OnePlus TV 40Y1. Now, we have already got two models from its Y lineup viz. 32 and 43 inches. Needless to say, the 40″ variant falls in between the two and is priced as such.

Here are the details about the TV —

OnePlus TV 40Y1 Specs

The new OnePlus TV has a 40″ panel with a wide color gamut, ie., 93% of the DCI-P3 color range. It has got a 1920 x 1080 resolution, and also comes with a Gamma Engine that dynamically enhances the picture quality in terms of contrast, color reproduction, anti-aliasing, and noise reduction.

The visuals will be aided complemented by a 2.0 CH 20W speaker that supports Dolby Audio. On the OnePlus TV 40Y1, you’ll get to watch premier OTT channels like Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, and more downloadable from Google Play Store. You can also cast content over to the screen using Chromecast.

As for connectivity, the choices are Ethernet, RF, 2 HDMI, 3-in-1 AV Input(Composite), 2 USB 2.0, an optical digital audio output, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and OnePlus Connect.

OnePlus has equipped the TV with a 64-bit processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of onboard storage. The software is Android TV 9.0. The device will be shipping with Oxygen Play, which is a proprietary content discovery platform. And for controlling the TV, you can use the bundled remote or a OnePlus phone.

OnePlus TV 40Y1 price and availability

Although OnePlus India retails the TV 40Y1 at ₹23,999 in India, the TV is available for ₹21,999 via Flipkart. Anyway, we should have a definite idea about the price before the June 01 sale date.
