Soon after the successful launch of its offline Store in Bengaluru in January, Shenzhen-based mobile maker OnePlus has decided to expand its offline presence in India by introducing physical stores in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Kolkata on the 28th of this month. The new stores will be opened in Central Mall in Mumbai and South City Mall in Kolkata.

Bengaluru will have its second offline store in Jayanagar, 4th Block in Bangalore. OnePlus 6 sales figure in the OnePlus Experience Store grew a whopping 91% in contrast to the sale figure of OnePlus 5. The fact that many consumers in India preferred a hands-on experience on the products before their purchase was the guiding principle behind OnePlus’s decision to establish offline stores across India.

OnePlus Offline Store Deals and Discount Offers

One can register themselves on OnePlus retail store website and get a chance to win exclusive OnePlus goodies on purchase from offline OnePlus stores. The First 100 customers at the store will receive:

  • Free OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers Iron Man Case
  • Free OnePlus branded t-shirts

In addition to the above, all students visiting the store will stand a chance to win a OnePlus Back-to-School kit on purchase of items from the store. Also, the customers who will take part in Bring-a-Friend will be eligible to receive OnePlus 5/5T accessories free of cost.

The Road Ahead?

This is in line with the company’s increased focus on additional offline touchpoints in India considering that the Indian market is the biggest revenue contributor for OnePlus, making over 1/3rd of the company’s revenue in 2017. In 2018, OnePlus is set to open over 10 new offline touchpoints in 10 key markets. Additionally, the Shenzhen-based company will also be opening an R&D center in India in line with its commitment to make India its second headquarters.

To increase its offline footprint in India, OnePlus has mapped over 10 new offline stores in 10 crucial markets for their expansion activity in 2018. Furthermore, the company aims to establish an R&D center in India in a move to establish its second headquarter in India.

Speaking on sidelines of the offline stores launch, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India, said, “With India becoming the second headquarters for OnePlus, we are looking to increase our focus on offline to reach out to the large majority of the Indian market that prefers touch-and-feel stores for experience before purchase. However, we will continue to be a digital-first brand.”
