OnePlus has confirmed a full scale return to live keynotes with a Bengaluru event on 17 December, where the OnePlus 15R and the OnePlus Pad Go 2 will take center stage. The event will also be streamed globally and marks the company’s 12th anniversary celebrations.
OnePlus 15R Specs
In line with our expectations, the OnePlus 15R positions itself as an affordable counterpart to the flagship OnePlus 15. We already know that the device will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, making it the first global launch partner for the chip. Now, OnePlus adds its triple chip performance setup with a dedicated G2 Wi Fi chip and a Touch Response Chip for quicker input recognition.

Earlier information suggested a sizable 8,000 mAh battery with 100W charging, though the company has not confirmed these specs yet.
Camera hardware was believed to be modest with a dual lens configuration, although the company is now highlighting its new Detailmax Engine. The same computational algorithms seen on the OnePlus 15, including Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst and Clear Night Engine, will run on the 15R.

This places more weight on software driven improvements over additional hardware like a telephoto lens, which the device is still not expected to include.
Display details are now fully confirmed. The 15R will ship with a 165 Hz 1.5K AMOLED screen rated at 450 ppi. It can get up to 1800 Nits bright in HBM mode and go down to 2 Nits and can drop further to 1 Nit with Reduce White Point enabled. The design is similar to the OnePlus 13s with two color options expected: Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze.

OnePlus Pad Go 2 Specs
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is also shaping up to be a noticeable upgrade for the entry tier tablet line. OnePlus has revealed a 12.1 inch 2.8K panel with 284 ppi, support for Dolby Vision, 900 Nits peak brightness and 98% DCI P3 coverage.

The tablet will run OnePlus’ OxygenOS 16 software with Open Canvas support. It will also support a stylus for note taking or simply operating the device. OnePlus has also confirmed the support for 5G on the Shadow Black 8GB + 256GB variant.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, OnePlus has released a new letter from founder Pete Lau reflecting on the past year and reiterating the company’s renewed focus on burdenless tech. The brand is also launching the OnePlus Run 2.0 game with prizes including the OnePlus 15R, Pad Go 2 and OnePlus 15. New versions of Una, the company’s mascot, will appear during the festivities in Christmas and Diwali themed outfits.
