A few days ago, we reported about OnePlus Open getting a special edition in the country soon. Today, OnePlus has announced the OnePlus Open Apex Edition foldable in India. This special edition comes with a dedicated security chipset, VIP Privacy mode, and a new storage option. New AI features have also been added to it. OnePlus Open Apex Edition: Price & Availability
The special edition of OnePlus Open is priced at Rs. 1,49,999 for the 16GB RAM+1TB storage version. It will go on sale on 10th August and will be available on OnePlus’ official website. Those who buy this special edition will get up to 3 months of Microsoft 365 Personal subscription for free along with benefits worth Rs. 15,000 with Jio Rs. 699 postpaid plan.

OnePlus Open Apex Edition: What’s New
The OnePlus Open Apex Edition comes with a premium vegan leather design and in a crimson red shade. In terms of features, it comes with a new AI Eraser and AI Smart Cutout image editing features that allow changing or removing objects from a picture.
The Apex Edition also features a new VIP Privacy Mode that makes it safer as you access through the alter slider. The foldable has a dedicated security chipset for keeping the user data safe. You also get additional storage space with this edition as it gets 1TB onboard storage.

OnePlus Open Apex Edition: Specs
OnePlus Open Apex Edition has the same specs as the regular edition. It sports a 7.82-inch 2K AMOLED primary screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2800 nits brightness. There is also a 6.31-inch 2K AMOLED cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and ceramic protection guard on top. The main display comes with ultra-thin glass protection for better durability.

The foldable is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with Adreno 740 GPU, 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage. It draws juice from a 4805mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging. In terms of camera optics, there is a 48MP main, 64MP telephoto, and 48MP ultrawide angle lens at the back. At the front is a 20MP primary and a 32MP secondary selfie snappers. The OnePlus Open runs OxygenOS 14.0 based on Android 14 out of the box. OnePlus has also promised three major Android OS updates and four years of security patches.
